Gotta admit I thought they were going to have the trial be the actual cliffhanger so I wasn't expecting much, but my God was I ever wrong.

on another point : did we see the same episode? (possible spoiler follows) all i saw was;
no shooting.
the most random apperance of someone who died.
and anyone who has watched the show from the start knew who the cylons were since the 2nd series.
but who do we think is no5?

"Shooting" is only fun for so long. If I want to watch spaceships shoot each other, I can just log in to EVE. It's the plot I watch it for.
And I didn't see that coming since series two. Maybe I'm just thick as two short planks, but I guess thats a good thing when it comes to TV fiction

Well, in today's violent world it could also be used as a message of love and peace. Imagine a poster with a balaclava clad gunman somewhere in a war torn country and underneath is written "Shooting is only fun for so long"? It could be a message to end war!!! But I was thinking of more funny uses.
Oh, and to the other guy, yeah, Lost sucks. Apparently though they're gonna continue with it until 2010. How much more plot can they possibly squeeze out of that dehydrated pile of crap?

Jebus, thats a long time. I don't mind it, but I can see it getting pretty old if they insist on running it for 3 more seasons. With a bit of luck, ratings will force them to cut it a bit shorter.

It was so... fantastic..
I can't WAIT for Season 4. I love that this is a Sci-Fi series that actually might end... all stories need a end, I hate shows which kind of drag on forever until they start sucking, and get canceled..
BSG is the only Sci-Fi show I've ever seen which actually rivals Firefly..

With the Chief, Colonel Tigh, the President's aide and Starbuck's husband (can't remember the names) being 4 of the final 5 cylons, and President Roslin being hinted as the fifth? OH GOD. BEST. TWIST. EVER. Can't wait for season 4.. Colonel Tigh's little speech at the end gave me the shivers.. "My name is Saul Tigh. I'm an officer in the Colonial Fleet. Whatever else I am, whatever else it means, that's the man I want to be. And if I die today, that's the man I'll be." Greeeat.
What I basically think will happen is, Thigh and Chief (And Roslyn, if she's a cylon) will stay loyal to humanity, and fight the Cylons, whereas the other two will "defect".. whatever happens though, it will be great...

Nice plot twist.
I really hope they do give BSG a good ending. There's been too many great Sci-Fi shows that have been spoiled by lack of foresight (Firefly, Farscape, probably even SG1). If they'd known when and how to end a show decently then there wouldn't be such a bittersweet memory of them (Firefly is the exception because they just cancelled that mid-season).

well it emerged today that season 4 will be the final season
this came straight from olomos and katie sackhoffs mouth, apprently its just too expensive and doesnt get enough viewers to justify the cost :(

Yep, rulkez got it right, they've been lucky to get a 4th season. Ratings have been steadily declining since the mini-series thing. Although i heard there were plans in the works for a spin-off bsg, focused pre-war around when the cylons were created.
I hope heroes at least continues to the same standard for a while to come, lost has been dragged out far too long.

They lost alot of rating this season... from what i remember i think season 2 was the ratings high point, since then its dropped... kinda like how the number of battle scenes have dropped (apart from the beggining of S3) ....
I think Heroes will keep to the high standard as i think its all been planned out season, on season, or thats what it feels like to me. Kinda like Babylon 5, and we all know how much that rocked (well S1-4 and not inc. some of the boring filler eps) lol

And Season 4 is confirmed as the final season. Should be fun.

At least they get to finish it properly. I can see them having about one season's worth of material left, so I don't feel cheated. If the Skiffy Channel tried what they did with Farscape (cancel it one season short and replace it with "Tremors"), I'm pretty sure there'd be toasters being thrown through their office windows.
