instead of trying to start the server over and over again and failing with that each time(after the 3rd or 4th time the >> up in 8 minutes<< gets kinda sad) they should just FIX the problems instead. i'd rather have one extended downtime than to have that stuff keep going on ...

Gee, this must be like the time I had my car stolen and the county mounties "found" it two days later, in a ditch, trashed by joyriders. It was "fixed", too, but not in the way you would appreciate. This must be like that.

CCP: listen to this advice:
NEVER touch a running system!!
Why do you need to take it down each day one whole hour AND HOW can that fail if each day is the same?
Just pull the server up and dont touch it anymore while its working....

Last night there was the unexplained lag and the server crashed just as I was in the middle of a fight. Annoying yes, permeant problem I thought not. But now I'm sitting here after the downtime watching the server continually count down from 5 seconds. Can't find an explanation or apology from CCP in the forum so was wondering if it was just me that was having trouble and has come to the conclusion that CCP really need to splash out on some new servers?

Argh almost 1 hour playtime GONE!!
On World of Warcraft they give you an extra subscribtion day to compensate when there is a very long extended maintanaince, is that here too?

I have a simple question:
What IF someone (like me for example) has a skill traning until 45 mis AFTER DT (i am reffering now at a USUAL - :) - DT) but there are some problems (like in this case for instance) and the server doesnt go up untill an hour or so ... So my skill completes and after that i have to wait until CCP fix the game , right ?
I dont believe that this is my fault becouse of the lost traning time. They should (always apparantly) put a sign: PLEASE PUT A LONGER SKILL TO TRAIN !!!! WE DONT KNOW WHAT MIGHT HAPPEN TODAY !!!!
I really hope they have an answer/excuse for this problem too ...
