So lets do this with minimum numbers. Lets say that EVE has 25.000 paying players, and that each one pays a full year (11 Euros a month that way, I think). That would be 275.000 Euros a month, for a total of 3.300.000 Euros a year... Well, that IS a lot of money. Even after expenses payed, I believe that will still be a lot of money. So, why does this game has recurrent problems? Lack of funds to have it running perfectly, with support hardware/software systems and stuff? I'm not an expert on this matter, but I'd sure like to know where our money goes...

I bet you played WoW eh?
Cause those useless threads popped up there aswell everytime when there was something wrong with the servers.
Actually to answer your question your money goes into my wallet :D

I think you'll find CCP gets about 3 million a month.
Also I doubt they're going to change anything. What they do with their money is their business.

Well, to be honest I never played WOW... As for the "useless threads", dont really know what you are talking about. And if my money goes into your wallet something must be very very wrong.
And as for their money, I suppose you are right. But this is an exchange. We pay for a service, a game in this case. So if the question isnt "what are they doing with our money", then what are they doing with our/my game?

What they are doing with the cash is I hope a healthy profit, so that this game continue to develop, the servers keeps getting upgraded, the customer-support keeps getting better.
Im worried that the profit is to small though, since we still have those ridicilous 1 hour-breaks at worst possible time of the day(for me =P) 
Now there must be some way around that, must it not?
With enough cash that is

Its not as simple to put huge sums of money into hardware, when you have very good hardware already.
You really want them to pay a 120% on hardware, when they can get slightly worst hardware at a lower $/performance ratio?
If you really want them to waste money then your not a good customer, and don't know the first thing about much about running a working busness.

They are planned, they picked that time because it was good for them. Every game like Eve-Online that uses a similar system ( database ) needs this maintance. They might have less or more depending on several factors but thats mute to be honest.

Servers getting updated.. what, for the better? In 2004 you could field a 300 v 300 battle................ and not crash. Granted 1 frame every 20 seconds, still, tho, NOT CRASH.. Nowadays with 60v60 you crash right away

well where should i start.
1. paychecks. yes CCP have alot of working people they have to pay each month!
2. Servers. servers arent free, and they update them aswell. and improve them!
3. rent. they have buildings and such to have their workers in.
4. hardware/software for the workers. they need something to work on, and maybe some paid software licenses aswell.
5. they do need to have a + on the income, or they will go bankerupt...
6. other games, yes they are making other things than eve!
7. varius things, not sure what their deals are with the workers that come and live in iceland, and if CCP owns any kind of appartments to them or such, but what i do know, that most things cost money!

I think you are missing one important part... TAXES. I think it is 18% of the income for corporations (According one icelandic website). Then on top of the normal salaries company has to pay the insurances etc. for the employees...
3 million a month is a lot for one person - but for a medium size company with high fixed costs it's not THAT much. I do also hope that CCP will keep making profit so that EVE will be around for a long time.
