Take a dominix, fit MWD, fit AB, fit 6 autocannons, fit some overdrives, take 10 praetors, 10 berserkers.
Its basicly the same idea as the 'rush' tactic Thorax pilots use, only in a battleship with 6 autocannons and the option of switching between 10 EMP drones and 10 explosive drones.Domi has quite a few med slots, and autocannons don't take huge amounts of PW, so you can still make it tank stuff while you speed towards your oponents.
I currently don't have the skills for it, but this setup looks good on paper, especially vs. tach-hugging Apoc pilots.

Fit 6 large elktrons
Webber, larege or meedium Shiled booster, MWD, -Optional- ( ill whuld use EM hardener or progressive short range loot warp scrambler)
Damage mod's and dignostiks or other Cap charge ordinance....
thats a rush setup... oh yeah... and dont forget ur ogres

and if u want good close range Projektile BS - Try typhoon - also whit smartbombs or launchers
( tempest is lond range)

ehm - with the range bonus and the 4 turret points the Typhoon is more of a long-range fighter... it¦d be a waste of perfectly good DoT output to use autocannons in those 4 slots.
it is freaky fast tho, and the drone space can come in handy in med-range battles.

The whole reason why i wanted to try this with a Dominix, is because its the only ship with space for 20 heavy's.. switch between Praetors and Berserkers when needed.otherwise i might aswell get a Mega instaid :)
I might even drop the turrets altogether and get 5 cap drainers and a smart bomb

sounds like a good setup, try it out and hope u dont get blown up 
only problem i see is burning through the power to quickly with the MWD then getting beatdown when u get there, but i dont use MWD's so dont listen to me

yes..but whit typhons drone space and projektile damgebonus it whuld still be beter Autocannon fighter than Nix

dominix gives a damage bonus to hybrid turrets. autocannons have about a 2.0x mod on them (not sure didnt waste any time researching projectiles) nuetrons have a 3.5X mod on them and then mounted it goes to 3.858xx with no mods, large hybrid 1, and gallente bs 1. if you want to use the same "rush" tactics thorax pilots use, use the same guns they use.
the preators are a good idea, but a little weak in the defense department. i fill my hold with ogres. cap drainers are a good way to keep enemy cap low once you have had your target charging shields and firing for some time. but dont run more than two otherwise youll be dead and the apoc pilot will wonder why you werent firing back. powerdiags!! no overdrives either, youll fly right by your target and back out of optimal range, and the structure hp will be decreased. run a couple damage mods for hybrids as well (i say this because i have been told more than once "this extruded doesnt seem to do anything for my 250mm) might have enough left over for a named med armour repairer, or two.

Extruded is a heat sink. It's meant to boost lasers not hybrids.

Fitting a smartbomb on a dominix overall = bad idea. That is if you are to use its strongest quility, the drones, you do not want an smartbomb. (unless you are of course not using those blasters, then u can keep your distance)
otherwise...you'll go close, kill your drones and make a little dam to the dude in the meantime. |
