Pwn4ge P4nts Caldari Provisions	Posted - 2007.05.11 21:05:00 - [1] I'm considering getting a 360 soon because my gaming skills have atrophied and 8 year old noobs would probably beatzor me up. Looking forward to getting my game on, buut.. If you connect a 360 to a standard lcd monitor via a digital vga cable, will you get HD quality output? Or just standard resolution?

Vari Carbide Industries	Posted - 2007.05.11 21:24:00 - [4] I did a little sleuthing for for you and this is what I found. If you scroll down a bit there's a list of supported resolutions. Cheers Any video mode with .9 Megapixels or more is 720p 'equivalent'. 720p is HD quality by TV standards.
Del ReyII Caldari	Posted - 2007.05.11 21:32:00 - [5] The 360 supports the following resolutions with the vga cable, but have to be selected manually from the dashboard system settings. * 640x480 * 848x480 * 1024x768 * 1280x720 * 1280x768 * 1280x1024 * 1360x768 e.g. 1280x1024 is the most popular standard 17" TFT resolution, so if you use the 360 on that you get native resolution, games work at that resolution and DVD movies are upscaled. Essentially giving HD. I have 360 connected to my 37" LCD TV and its running at 1360x768. It works very well and I got to say that the upscaler for DVD playback is excellent. Very happy with it. I suspect gears of war will look pretty good in 1600x1200.
