Ok the purpose of the ship is to survive suicide attemps in Empire at (almost) all costs (read cost of modules is a non-issue as we assume the cargo outweights whatever the cost might be). And we assume we dont need Cargo Expanders as the Base Cargo is enough for our needs...
This is the setup I came up so far: High: Nothing Mids: 4 x Medium Shield Extender IIs, 1 x Invuln.Field II Lows: 5 x Inertia Stabs Rigs: 3 x Core Defence Shield Extender (ok here I would compromise cose of the costs and use the Is as the IIs would give the ship a 1B price tag for not so much of an advantage :D )
The Inertia Stabs are there to move as fast as possibel to not draw attention and give the suicide attacker little time after scanning to think about atacking or not. + If you get bumped to prevent warp you have a higher probabilty to escape anyways... (another + is ofc faster travel time in "peace" times ;) )
But Im not sure if it would be better to use warp core stabs instead (or at least use only 3 inertia stabs and 2 warp core stabs). Thus still escaping when scramed with one scram but you would still be ****** when scramed with 2 scrams and as you are slower to get in warp draw more attention in the first place... hmmmm
As for the tank Im not sure if it would be actually better to use 2 invul. fields instead of one... as the Rigs give a percentage increase for the shield hp, fitting an extra extender might prove more usefull (??). Or has anyone a better idea what to use as rigs?
And btw what you think... if actually atacked would it survive a single bs in 0.5 space (15sec till concord arrives, +x sec till the bs pops)? two bs?

Several misconceptions...
1. Each warp core stabilizer will save you from one warp disruptor. 2 will cancel out 2, and so on.
2. Inertia stabs are stacking penalized. If you want raw speed, you're likely best off with 3 Inertia stabs and 2 nanofibers.
3. Those rigs only effect base shield, not shield after extenders. You'll get a very minor increase because of this. Use another type of rig.
I don't really have any recommendations yet though... but WCS will probably save you in most cases. -----

I'd go for a t2 Damage control in one of the low slots. The extra resists to armor and structure makes you a lot harder to kill, and it's not like you're short on cpu on an indy.

Best way: dont afkhaul --- So I flame and troll when the occasion calls for it. So what are you gonna do about it? |

Thx for the input ok so here is my new setup:
highs: nothing meds: 4 x med shield extenter II, invul. field II lows: 1 x Damage Control II, 2 x WCS, 2 x Inertia Stabs Rigs: 1 x EM - Res, 1 x Therm Res, 1 x Kin Res
All together about 45M in cost :)
No afk hauling ofc, otherwise the inertia stabs dont make much sense anyways ;)

why fit shield extender rigs and not an em, therm adn kin shield resist rig?
and wont an ocator(seeing it's about itty5 you'll ahve galante indy5) work better due to higher base resists?
just some random thoughts

Cloaking devices are by far the best thing to avoid high sec gankers at least then you just need to wait them out. I doubt you will survive a suicide attempt from a domi or a raven in the setup you described.

If you are going to spend that much, just get an Occator.

Hm do cloaking devices work when already targetted and atacked?

Ok the Occator looks like a good choice...
Only 2 Drawbacks I can see (apart from price ofc): - it has about double the mass of an iteron V thus it will be slower to get in warp - it may draw more attention as its obvious that something of worth will be transported in it....

Yeah just buy an occator. If you can fly in iteron 5 you dont need much more training.

Just stick istabs/nanos on the lows. Also my alt flies occators all day long and nobody ever tried to suicied him. ______________

You'll have to do the exact math (i cna't find mine) but with those tti relays in the lows you can get the shield recharge down to 20 something seconds, if you've got 4 extenders and 3 extender rigs in thats a good ammount of hp and regen (worth a shot at least )

I have now survived 3 suicide attacks from Ravens in Hi-sec with extenders and passive hardeners and stabs and nano's in the lows.
Once a raven got me into structure so I doubt if there had been 2 I'd have survived though.

Interesting Morigu.
So did you surive cose you fitted the stabs and thus warped away before dying, or because concord killed the atackers?

When you can fly iterons V you can fly transports, problem solved.

Hull tank, they'll never chew thru t2 bulkheads before concord spanks them. And don't forget the t2 damage control either.
