I'm just enthralled at how much sheer angst and primal chest-beating our little stunt, as beautifully coordinated and perfectly executed as it was, has inspired in this thread. All speculation aside, had Raz asked me to drop supers in hisec, I'd have tried to find a way to drop supers in hisec. That's the long and short of it.
I care little for the drama or political intrigue you all seem to find in these pointless circle-jerks. Hisec has been dead for years now and as far as the rest of eve is concerned, you can have it. I have nothing to gain by threatening anyone involved in any of this. If anything, I think I've already made the only point I needed to. If Khromius feels threatened by a simple request then perhaps he should adjust his triggers accordingly. It's his problem, not mine. My only dog in the fight just won the fight.

They'll be logging in plenty, I'm sure. And while it was a lovely trip down memory lane coming down to jostle a few jimmies in your corner of the sandbox, I fear our time together is at an end. Enjoy doing....well whatever it is you do in hisec. Shopping's about all I can think of tbh. And if any of you take nothing else from this whole melodrama, do remember this: Never buy a used Fedo from Tora, and don't **** with the Devils in Romi :)

Wow,this thread just won't quit will it? Props to Mr. King-Griffin for unearthing this, until recently, undiscovered river of pi$$ you've all been tributaries to for the past god knows how long.
I am truly heartened by the amount of passion you put into your chosen niche in eve, and at the same time horrified by the particular niche in which you've chosen to put it. Take a step back and objectively look at the situation. Hisec mercing is a dead mechanic. Watch lists going teats-up killed it. Dead. It has ceased to be. Yet you cling to the notion of its sanctity as if it were life itself. I was in a merc outfit and a damn good one. I made friends there I'll keep even if the servers shut down tomorrow, but I was able to see it for what it was and move on after it died.
What goes on now isn't mercing by a long shot. It's station-gaming, hub-camping, neutral-logi, blanket-dec, sackless, risk-averse, bulls***. It is a sad and emaciated carcass of a once respectable and challenging form of gameplay which CCP flushed years ago. Yet you continue to tear each other to shreds over its bones. The fact that some ill-informed players actually pay for this anymore is mystifying in itself, but that's a story for another time.
The point I'm trying to make is this: take a good long look at what it is you're fighting over. The biggest, baddest, rat in the dumpster is still a rat in a dumpster.

I f***ing hate you all for dragging me back into this forum, btw. But alas, even my shame at posting here cannot overcome my thirst for the pristine tears shed on these boards daily. Now I find myself sneaking peeks at c&p between fleets or during long timer grinds to see if there are any salty little golden stars to light my path to the next bucket. I know it's so wrong but it just feels so right. I try to hide it but part of me just wants to bust out and yell from the mountaintop: "THIS IS WHO I AM! THESE ARE MY POSTS!" but they'd never understand. So it remains my......OUR dirty little secret. Maybe someday when EvE is a more tolerant place....someday......

Maybe it'll inspire others to follow suit, maybe not, but don't presume to speak for the entire forum when you're commenting on things you have no significance in.

If you do really care to call my loyalty to my friends into question, I'd ask you to find one who says I wouldn't do next-to, if not anything I could to help any of them in any way I could if asked. Be it ISK, punching russian sh**lords in the nose, or even opening my corp to them when there was nothing left to do in dry-sec. In fact, I've made it a habit of bringing all of them into the greenest pasture I could find. Like I said, I'm all about sharing the love.
As far as VMG is concerned, nobody's perception is skewed. They're leftovers being kept fat off the ISK they suck from the teats of hisec carebears who think they're capable to keeping their gravy-trains secure. It's a offshoot of a joke that's not quite as funny as the joke which spawned it.

I'm sorry that you're confusing standing up for a group of friends with sucking up to someone I want something out of. I don't do that with my friends. Even if it was you Kaely, I still wouldn't do that. That's just me. The reason I keep "brown-nosing," as you like to call it, is because I'm proud of them for actually having the brains and balls to get out of hisec.
Yeah, to some folks it's a novelty, to some it's an incentive to do the same, to some it's a reminder that there's always a bigger fish. Take from it what you will. But, for all your analogies of kicking over sandcastles, greener pastures, and brown-nosing, you're missing the point that some of the best people I've ever flown with are back in the game, subbed, active, and having fun outside of the little bubble which you choose to stay comfortably inside. And I'd hardly consider the rest of EvE outside of 0.5 a "niche."

I'm not sure if i should prescribe myself some Prozac, join a support group, or undergo hypnosis to see if my uncle might've touched me in my no-no zone after reading that. What saddens me more is that I'm pretty sure you actually believe it. Truth be told, I got back on the forums to enjoy the river of salt from the aftermath of the PIRAT dunk. You have to admit, it was epic. So I stuck around to keep mining it here and there. Your alliance and blues certainly do deliver it in abundance, so why shouldn't I hang around to join in the fun?
As for your allegiances, they are your own, as are mine. I don't pay your sub. I can't tell you who or who not to fly with. But make no mistake, your motives are up for public opinion every bit as much as mine are. The difference is, mine are well-known and have been so since before that question was even put forward. So, you can keep pretending you have some insight into the whole thing as much as you like. You can keep pretending you know me well enough to comment on my "need for recognition" all you want. If you want to paint me as some pretender trying to be Hi-sec-Jesus then by all means,continue. it doesn't bother me one bit and it sure as hell makes for some entertaining reading.
Just don't sit there and lecture me about cheerleading when you've been verbally fellating VMG for the last 20 threads. It reeks of the same hypocrisy they're already notorious for.
