This so called "war" in 0.0, alliance v. coalition, why is it being fought?
From what I hear, it's all about the future of EvE, or what direction it should go.
The Alliance fights because they are defending themselves from attacks from the coalition. They have BoB, which is the gang to beat, MC which help them, along with various other, what some call "Pets". So far these guys help each other to survive in 0.0. One hand washes the other. One of BoB's member was found out to be a dev in diguise that helped them along the way. Some think that they don't deserve to be in the game, some think that don't judge the many by a few. The others alliance are are just feeding off the breast of BoB. That MC, YouWhat, & other are nothing without them. This maybe true, but they act together and that is what keeps them in 0.0 and doing what they are doing to the coalition.
The Coalition, they fight to get rid of BoB & pets. Their efforts in the south were great, but don't rest on your laurels. Where is this so called train that was spoken of? Did it switch sides? Your failure to coordinate & call for help have now lost you Deklein in the north. Your failure to coordinate attacks and bring multiple fronts at the same time to the coalition has given them steam to do what they just did.
And last, what about the alliances out east, what are they doing? Frege, one of the biggest alliances, Ka-Tet, and others? Are they like China? A sleeping dragon biding it's time? These alliances may turn out to be a surprise if they ever get involved. The east holds many secrets and may turn the war to one side or the other. It all depends on who they are friends with or who offers them a better deal. The war is getting closer to them day after day. It's time for them to wake up or they will have it in their backyard.

What you say is almost true except that everyone knows FREGE are pretty much useless. I mean Burn Eden walked all over em with only a few guys for a week.
FREGE has the power of the smack to help them but this has traditionally not been enough.

well you see, when a mama alliance and a papa alliance find each other attractive, they go into this mating dance where lots of little ships go BOOM for the good of everything.
this mating dance often leads to loss of territory and morale among the pods who are just the razzle dazzle in the grander scheme.
soon this mating ritual will end and all will be back as it was so no need to fear.
till then just grip your seat and enjoy the ride

The war is as good as done. The Coalition don't stand a frackin chance. They never did imo.
The dev issue is dead and buried. Other than a few flaming alts nobody bothers discussing it anymore.

Alt no. This is my main. I'm Trolling? Pot meet kettle... I wanted some constructive posts to maybe learn why are these alliances fighting and maybe make a choice on which side some of us newbs would like to be on. I read all the smack on COAD & other posts. What I want to know is why is your alliance fighting this "war"? Is it for "pew pew", bragging rights, fun & games, or just to satisfy your ego that you have bigger electronic fleet than the other guy.
