I am considering purchasing a gaming laptop but I am way out of touch on what's out there. I would like a laptop that will run Eve of course, Starcraft 2, and Diablo III when it comes out, but really do not want anything too crazy and don't have a ton of money to spend. I don't need a laptop that will run everything out there, I'm not big into the super crazy nice graphic FPS games out there. I definitely want to spend less than $1,000 USD and actually, the less the better. Can someone recommend a good, "middle of the road" gaming laptop? What are the "good" mobile video cards now?
Thanks! |

A thousand what? A thousand omani reals will get you further than 1000 yen. 1000 euros gets you more than 1000 rupees. |

A thousand ISK, Peso's, Dinira, Swiss francs, ....
Soz never was a laptop fan,
Although i rekon most new-ish laptops would run what you want, design follows they same curve as trend. |

Yeah, sorry, very good point and I often forget this is an international community and that there is life outside of the US, so that would be 1,000 dollars. |

$1000 can get you a clevo p151hm1/ sager 8130 with a 192 bit gtx 560m that can run eve, sc2 and diablo 3 at good graphic and fps
current good mobile gaming gpus are the gtx 560m, 570m and 580m, probably 555m and 540m for nvidia. for amd you have the 6970 and 6990, probably the high-end 5000s series too. |

Just whatever you do, don't touch a Dell with a ten foot pole.
Also... make sure to delete 90% of default software that comes with the laptop, as most of it just causes issues and is useless. |

GǪin fact, if possible, do a complete reinstall of the OS the first thing you do GÇö especially if they've been kind enough to supply you with an actual OS disc rather than a GÇ£revert to factory clusterfuck stateGÇ¥ disc.
