New to Gallente and new to armor tanking but this is my current domi setup:
High: 2 heavy and 4 med nos Mids: 2 med cap boosters (800s), a web, scram and mwd. Low: 2 LARs II, 2 eanm II, tech II therm, kin, exp hardeners.
Drones: 10 orge II, 10 HH IIs, and 5 Hobgoblin IIs.
Rigs: 3 * Aux nano pump I
This setup is mainly meant for small gang/solo pvp.
Will I be killed just looking at a shuttle or might this setup work? Suggestions are welcome!

This is a good setup, it might not be what you call "respectable" ie relies on nos, but it works and a lot of people use it, it's good.

I would swap a cap booster for a tracking disrutor....
and then change lows and rigs to..
2x LAR II 1x exp hard II 1x kin hard II 1x therm hard II 1x damage control II 1x EANM I
2x Aux nano pump 1x anti-exp

yeah those lows are better , but dont throw away cap booster , its very needed if u get jammed , damped or whatever to hold ur tank .... !

Only one TD won't really make a difference in a domi, while 2 medium injectors are allready better than one heavy. That tank is nice though.

Pretty brutal, though you'll likely not have much luck trapping a frigate alone. Cruisers MIGHT slip away, if they're rigged for speed, and anything in the battlecruiser or battleship range is going to be in for a very long day.
This is my sig, there are many others just like it. With me, my sig is worthless. Without (or with even) my sig, I am worthless... |

Edited by: Zirth on 15/05/2007 13:48:28 Consider an ECCM module instead of injector, or stuff like another web. Or a sensor booster. But for a small gang, you'll probably have other people tackling mostly, your scram and web should be fine.
Might wanna try to get more Heavy Nos on there too if possible. I think with the right skills 3 would be possible, could also consider powergrid rigs.
Pretty solid setup in general though. Definately want to ditch one EANM for a DCU though.

Almost the same as my domi setup
2 LG nos, 4 Med nos
a/b(could do with mwd tbh) web, scram, lg cap booster, eccm
2 LAR II's, Dmg controll II, 3 Hardner II's and an eanm II.
1 pg rig (may need another for MWD)
Sexy sexy drones
I'd deffo keep the mwd if you can, but the times eccm has saved my neck i'd give it a go! You know how peeps just love to make domi's primary

Pretty good setup in the OP.
However!!!!!
Change that one EANM II to a DCU II, seeing as resistances from DCU II don't get stacking penalized with others, that DCU II will give you more resists than the 3rd mod (hardener - 1st mod, eanm 2nd mod) to all your resists and ALSO give you 60% hull resists increasing your effective hitpoints by quite a lot. *bashes it for being a nos-domi*
Other than that and the DCU II as already pointed out, it looks fine. I personally find it much more fun fitting Blasters (nosferatu? *spits*), but hey whatever floats your boat... ----------

Here's a setup that I partially "stole" from watching FraXy's videos waaay too much . It works great for gang PvP, and decent for solo, if you somehow manage to land on top of an opponent, as it doesn't have an MWD/AB.
Highs: 2x Heavy Nos 4x Heavy Neutron II's w/Null M
Meds: 2x Sensor Boosters 1x Scram 1x Web 1x Heavy Cap Booster w/800's
Lows: 2x LAR II's 1x DC II 1X EANM II 1x Thermic Hardener 1x Kinetic Hardener 1x Explosive Hardener
Rigs: 1x Anti-Explosive Pump
I absolutely adore this setup.. it's a blast to fly. One of the most fun setups I've ever used on any ship. Thanks FraXy

I use the same setup for baiting, except I use autocannons for the falloff range. And I came up with it all by myself about a year ago too :)
