The faceless nature of the internet allows people to flourish like never before. You just have to try and get by it, know that 99% of the people you will ever meet would never cross that line.
I expect NewsGrounds will have it bansticked, but that's the whole point of 'freedom of speech' isn't it. There is no middle ground.

Disgusting. I hope he doesn't get anything but opprobrium for this little stunt.

Tbh, it's a sick attempt however I do respect the idea. How many times have you seen someone ransom the morals of people back to themselves? I find it humorous only because it is in bad taste, so 50/50 score there. -Sig- Green Gecko Inc. A corp, A family. Hiring ALL types of players! 0.0 based!

Some dude created a game about the V-Tech massacre. Now everyone is all butt-hurt about it. Someone needs to call the Waaahmbulance.

There will always be a flash game about every event, just get used to it. Theres ones about terrorists, 9/11, rapists, heard that someone even made an Ian Huntley one lol. Not saying its a good thing but tbh it doesn't bother me nor make me angry. --------

The issue at hand is not that he made said game, its that he is demanding money to remove it and or apologize for making it. I believe someone called it "emotional blackmail."

People aren't carping because he made the game, which frankly is kind of creepy. My feeling is that the only speech that really needs protection is the unpopular kind, though.
The part that's just mean on top of the creepiness is the extortion demand for removing or apologizing. I doubt this guy really can understand how subhuman it makes him appear, and I'll further state he probably feels like he's a victim.

i'd say the best thing to do in this situation is just ignore him. it's not like that many emotionally frail people visit newgrounds, and if newgrounds doesn't delete it then people will boycott the site (maybe) and things will resolve themselves.
i'm more afraid something stupid will happen over it. like someone will kill the guy that made the video game or there'll be a police raid or something ridiculous.

ąthe donation thing is there as a joke against all the people commanding me to take my game down. I didnt think anyone would donate money to it and so far my paypal account has proven me rightą

I applaud his post. I think it's a great answer to those who, not content with deciding for themselves what is appropriate, feel entitled to decide for others too.
If they care that much, they can pony up the cash. It's not even that much cash, divided between all the people complaining about it.
Considering you think that this game is the worst thing ever done by a human, I assume you've donated at least $10 to get something worse than The Cultural Revolution or World War I removed? Signed, Pheusia |

Please Mr. Government Man put an end to this outrage! How can we live in a society where this is allowed. This is hate speech! This emotional blackmail must be stopped.
In other words, I for one welcome our new goverment overlords. Nanny state ftw.

From what I've seen of western society, a nanny state would be quite a step up.
