I play EVE as an alpha clone, with a Steam account.
I am wondering if it is allowed to have more than one alpha account for EVE, such that you can have two Alpha clones training at the same time (one online, one offline) from the same IP. Note: I do not wish to have them logged in or playing at the same time - but I do wish to have one training (offline) while one is playing.
If this is allowed/possible, how do I create a second account when I already have one Steam account?
Thanks in advance for any clarifications. |

EVE allows as many alpha or omega accounts as you want, and they can all be registered to the same email address / IP address.
Steam, unfortunately, does NOT allow multiple EVE accounts to be associated with a single Steam login.
So you can have your Steam account and then start multiple independent EVE accounts from EVE's Account Management. You may have to download the (non-Steam) EVE client to access the non-Steam accounts. |

You can use the same Steam account to play any of your EVE accounts, including additional Steam based accounts, you just have to add them in the launcher.
In detail: You have to create the second and other accounts out of your primary Steam account. Either register on the EVE website or create through another Steam account then register that through the EVE website (such as a login username and password is created).
Once that is done they can be added to your launcher by filling in the username and password.
Practically you can play any of your accounts through any of your Steam or non-steam accounts as they all use the launcher and in it you can add any account that has an associated user and pass that you can fill in.
You don't need to download the standalone client if you only wish to use the Steam based version, it is completely up to you. |

You don't even need to use the STEAM launcher:
