Including 6 cruisers......yet, my security rating is still 0.0
Im sorta new here but I would assume killing npc pirates (especially over 300 of them would raise my status at least 0.1)
Doesnt make sense that killing a PC, your status will go down like -1.0 but killing half of the galaxies npc pirates, you get nothing (Im talking about pirates in 0.4 and 0.3 while in my frigate...so they're challenging)
Is this a bug?

not necessarily, frigate kills only raise your security status by anywhere between 0.0001 and 0.0009 where cruisers start at 0.0010 etc so if you kill (290 x 0.0009)+(10 x 0.0010)= 0.261+0.01 = 0.271
following that math you should see a change but when killing an NPC you used to get a little pop-up box saying 'for your perticipation in killing #pirate# you secruity status has been adjusted 0.0001' or whatever, havent seen that come up since castor was released so it might be...
but, this drastic low on pirate status gain was done to prevent PC pirates from atacking people all of one day and spending the next day hunting NPC pirates to raise (and hide) their negitive sec status.
pre-castor we used to chain pirates killing upwards of 200 in an hour, 2000 in a day and our security status would be lucky to go up +0.5 =P
post-castor chain spawning isnt avalaible so there goes that mode of play o.O;
any CEO of your corp can look at the detailed information of its memebers, viewing their security status down to the billionth of a change
example: Black Drake's Info SS - 1.3 Black Drake's Detailed SS - 1.37449474031
So if you have a nice CEO, just ask them to look at your Member Info "General", it should be right under date of birth :)

And whats more pre castor, you'd get rounded up so if you're true sec status was 0.05 then it would be 0.1 in your character status window and show info. Not anymore tho..

Security status is bj0ked right now im afraid - it wont go up at all.
Need to wait for a patch-fix.

Yup its totally bugged. it will not go up at all (even killing 250k-750k scorp npcs). mine went from 1.0 to -2.2 and it will go no where but down.

Standing decay is now properly implemented and occurs at 5% a week (that is: Multiplied by 0.95, NOT reduced by 0.05).
**Sec rating and pirate corp standing will only be affected by the 'largest' pirate you kill in each 10 minutes of pirate combat.**

Killed one half assed pirate with a half assed neg sec rating and I'm back to 0.0.

Thats because the information he linked in is out of date.
The standing decay has been temporarily removed - there is no standing decay at all atm.
Additionally, as I stated earlier, sec standing is borked and does not work for positive gains at all right now, factions standings do generally work though (with some noted problems though).
