I was talking with a friend about selling fully research BPOs. He is under the impression that there is massive amounts of ISK to be made just researching BPOs and selling them. I can not find the selling prices of fully researched BPOs, so I don't know. Does any one have any information they would like to share? Maybe a link to fully researched BPOs selling prices? |

Browse through the Sell Orders forum. You'll get a good idea what researched BPOs are selling for.

What Mr Epeen said is spot on.
But if you have some spare research slots on alts etc. And you can spare the isk to invest for the long haul there are worse option. |

I think someone is jelly
@OP regarding the BPO prices, I don't think you can sell them (researched) on the market, so once they are done cooking you will need to hawk em personally. |

researched or BPO's that have been used (unpacked) can only be sold via contract a person to person trade the latter you should never do.
Check contracts and market orders but as has been said, you look at a battleship BPO as an example, I have an ME 10 PE 18 Tempest and to get that to level 20 PE in NPC facilities would take IIRC 192 days... |

Yes there is ISK to be made in this.
If you want to get your feet wet without any significant risk, look at the intermediate T2 components used in producing tech 2 subcapital ships.
For example, Photon Microprocessor, which is used (in various numbers) in all T2 Gallente subcapital ships.
These cost 5m to buy from NPCs, research to 10/20 fast and will sell for 15-35m depending upon market conditions.
There are much more profitable prints to research but those generally require much larger degrees of upfront capital investment. For example the Ninazu force auxillary BPO will sell at a huge markup once you invest months of research into it, but you need to front up a billion ISK to buy it in the first place.

IDK about massive amounts of ISK, but perhaps unparalleled for return on time/attention invested.
This fellow does a nice job with an overview of how to get started...

Much more if you are researching big ship BPOs. So you are tying up your ISK for quite a while before you see a return on investment. Mr Epeen I'm doing 159 day research jobs at the moment. That's just for TE 20, not TE 1-18.
That's a HUGE opportunity cost.
It also requires watching system indices to see when they drop to 0.10 to begin research. |

Yep I will be dropping and rigging a citadel just to reduce costs on doing ME 9 to 10 on some capital ships soon.
Once I wreck the index I'll use the system for cheap jobs until my other system gets a low index again.

Forums ate my last reply to this.
Cruisers were amazing 2-2.5 years ago but the market is much more saturated now.
Where I used to sell Vexor BPOs for 360m (10/20) and 315m (10/16 or 10/18), they are now going for 190m (10/20).
I made an eleven figure sum turning over cruisers at one point, but the profits aren't there now.
If you are new and capital constrained, the best smaller ships to look into are the second lot of destroyers (the ones that invent into command ships, not the ones that invent into interdictors).
Algos BPOs make good money if you can't afford to get into the game of researching capital ships and their components.

From what I got a lot of highsec/lowsec indi players use BPCs when they don't happen to have a researched BPO anyway. Because they only build stuff as long as it sells for good prices and stop once the margin gets thin.
I guess the typical customer for a researched BPO wants to build stuff for himself/the corp/alliance back at home. May it be in WHs or deep Nullsec. As they don't know yet how much they gonna need and don't want to come back to buy more BPCs they pay a premium and take a BPO instead. Now the trick is to know WHAT the typical "produce it on site" BPOs are beside the Ammo that's everyones' first guess. |
