I was thinking after reading that the weather is quite unpredictable, what would be suitable clothing and footware? Also the power adapters that you get for the world - haven't ever seen any that are Iceland specific, what would be uced for Iceland?

Ofc this may vary, so i strongly recomend getting a bit of everything. T-s_hits, pullovers, boots, trainers, anything might come in handy. Better safe than sorry.
About power adapters, Iceland run on 220V, 50 Hz. The plug is European plug with two circular metal pins
Please note: Adapters are usually expensive. Most of laptops adapters / PC power units run from 100 to 250V, so for those you will only need a plug convertor.
If you need any more informatio about Iceland ( or any other country that is ) i stronly suggest http://www.lonelyplanet.com
Take care ;) Edit: lame profinity filter ---

I went to Fan Fest in 2004 and it was about the same time of year. It was definitely cold but the wind was the kicker. It would become very windy and then bone chilling cold.

hehe here is my advice since i am icelandic and live on iceland :P
i would recomend good Boots to prevent your feet from geting very cold when you are walking in the cold and wet snow, and have a sweater or something better so you wont get cold in the wind here, on that time of the year here the heat outside is around -2ŚC to 7ŚC maybe a bit hotter, but the wind here is very freezing. so i would recomend good clothing to protect you from the cold, the weather in iceland on the Winter is no T-shirt and short pants weather, but very few times on the winter it can be 15ŚC outside, so then its ok to be in a t-shirt outside if its not windy
