Has anyone come across a situation in a mission where you are unable to warp out even though you are not scrambled? I had a problem where my ship sat there with the "Warp Drive active" message up, but the speed bar moved along very slowly and eventually I got popped.
I was aligned to warp out so I didn't need to adjust my heading and I had destroyed the warp scramblers
Any ideas?
Thanks.

Possabley being bumped by (stupidley) close orbiting rats? or even your own drones, it shouldent happen but it wouldent surprise me.

heh I don't know much about the mechanics of bumping I was in a battleship though, and I am 99% sure that the NPC's were at least 6km away. My deployed drones were light combat types, and engaged with the NPC's.
I am a little bit wary of it happening again as it's a kick in teeth!

Missile bombardment can throw off your speed and alignment as well.

You can also just plain run into a bug where the warp bar will fill but you will not enter warp. You need to cancel warp and initiate again.

yes, sometimes helps - stop ship and warp again ....
btw - worst problem is , when you running mission, set 100km warp away and you warp at 0km away beacon, someone knows why is that happens ? Sometimes i set 50km and i "appears" at same beacon which is 20km away .....! Similar problem , which happens to me - i set 50km warp away and "appears" from warp into the structure which was main target in mission so i cannot warp out from place , i cannot move , only waiting for death, bcs it was lvl4 mission and there was too many rats .... It happened twice to me so very good mission where you can lost expensive ships

You may be running into a beacon or other stupidly small and hard to see celestial objects. A LOT of missions have beacons where you warp in and you're practically on top of them. It pays to move away from them (or orbit them).
Another problem may be that you initiate warp, but then an NPC webs you. Since you're not yet aligned, you don't insta warp, but instead take 10 minutes to reach warp as your ship sloooowwwly decelerates to a speed where it will warp. In this situtation, because you're moving forwards, you decelerate very slowly. You need to stop your ship to decelerate quickly and then re-initate warp.

or bumping against some wreck? (I usually remove them from overview during combat to avoid locking them)

Thanks for the replies.
I can safely say that I wasn't bumping into anything (certainly no wrecks or a beacon). I was webbed to around 18m/s, however in previous instances where I am webbed I have been able to "insta warp" to the celestial object I was facing.
In this instance, I got the warp drive active notification however the acceleration bar didn't move along as it usually does (even when webbed). It just moved very, very slowly whilst my ship continued to move in the direction of the celestial object I was aligned to.
maybe I'll /bug it.
Thanks again for the replies though.

There's a report of boarding a ship in space might change the getting into warp speed. The test was done with a Raven.
