hey! can I play this game?
If CCP sold EVE to...
Blizzard: Battlegrounds are introduced. Instead of skill queue we have levels. We don't lose our ships upon death anymore. We still have our same old 2003 graphics. Missions are now called Quests and null and low sec are removed. Now EVE is about collecting pets and mounts.
Bioware: EVE is split into servers. Each system has tones of instances which can handle about 20 players at the same time and we have 10minutes long dialogues each time we pick a quest. EVE is put in maintenance mode 4 years ago and they're working on EVE 2. They announce that EVE will be closed down a few weeks before EVE 2 launch.
EA: In an attempt of making EVE a more popular game, now EVE is about Orcs and Elves flying dragons in space. Instead of missiles and cannons, we shoot fireballs at each other. Oh, and we have chat bubbles.
Frogster: EVE is f2p. We can buy boosters and implants in their cash-shop. Implants add +50% to damage, armor and stuff and we can merge two implants to gain a more powerful one.
Turbine: EVE is f2p. It hasn't changed since 2003. Every year, they add a new system and a new ship. They call it expansion. |

Which actually seems to be what CCP is up to. Fuel blocks instead of all that other crap for example makes planning and running a POS just a bit simpler.
Where it doesn't really add much to the game, like with POS fuel, I'm all for it. Hope they don't take it too far though. |

Why should they? It's there baby. I do understand the concerns. However I'll watch and play Eve while watching CCP mature.
