Heya on https://updates.eveonline.com/ there is a 'Rogue Swarm' event I can find no info on, could someone point me on the right direction for info on it?? There is no dev blog or eve forum post I can find with any info lol?

I've seen it on eve update a few days ago too but that's the only place I found something about it, nothing about it here or reddit for now.

Its likely a "Drone" event much like the rest of the pirate faction events. Guess we shall wait and see as it will be the first Rogue Drone event so far.

I think you could expect some warp distupting and webbing. Drones are known to do this.

Expect more information in the patch notes that will be released on Friday. A devblog or devpost is possible but CCP may choose to let us figure it out for ourselves - they shouldn't need to spoon feed us everything.
Difficulty will likely be comparable to similar events like Crimson Harvest & Purity of the Throne in the past. If you can run level 3 missions comfortably, they shouldn't prove too difficult.
As mentioned, webbing and warp disruption are common with rogue drones so I would consider a kiting fit for long range engagement if you think you may need to warp out and heal. |

Yea I figure something like Purity of the throne but sounds like the AI will be a lot harder?

It's likely the event will be available on Singularity by the weekend. Someone like Jonnypew will probably post a YouTube video before it goes live on TQ. |

its just some of dormant drone structures got active again all those drone around it you killed over and over again were there to make sure those structures remained dormant...good job on that one.
they roam and destroy or infect everything they encounter creating bigger army as they go for more attacks or to be devoured by structure it self to get more stronk or to heal it self...you run or you die.
...or...
those will be sites that pop up for you to kill something like 3-4 frigs with some cruisers around some structure with a can in the end.

Anyone who has run the SOE Epic arc has plenty of experience with level 1 rogue drones and, if you read the walls of text, a good understanding of the lore surrounding them. Expect the event drones to be a lot tougher.
There are also drone ratting anomalies in most systems you can practice on. Highsec anomalies will have Drone Cluster, Collection, Assembly and Gathering in increasing order of difficulty.
I do not expect this event to use new AI - CCP still has a lot of work to do to get that dialed in before it is released to the general public!
Hints like plentiful rewards and find your fortune among the wreckage suggest this may not be a single loot drop like recent events but spread out among the wrecks - which will make it more difficult for hijackers to scoop your loot. Might be a good idea to fit a tractor beam!
These events are intended to encourage player interaction and past experience suggests there will be a lot of tears from people who do all the work only to have someone else steal the prize.

I wish, but I doubt it very much. Likely it will be the BPCs for current faction drones that can only be had from BPCs dropped as loot. |

Maybe some implants that will make you look more like a rogue drone? That would be magnificent to have 8 pairs of eyes and some additional limbs.

Works fine for me. The injectors were last update so listed in the frame before the one about the drones and the vexor, ishtar and sin redesigns.

Tbh I'd expect the new AI. Blood Raider is cool and gg but it's 1 site every couple days and people might not even run those after the bpc ninja loot butthurt. It provides large scale op data only. Something that can e run solo or in small group, thousands of times daily would provide intel on small gang and how AI should respond to that.
