I've only played a couple of days so I'm still getting myself wet. In this mission, you're told to warp to a gate and peek around. I'm at the gate, but nothing unusual is nearby? What exactly, do they want you to do here? Thanks.

I'm not familiar with that particular one, but most missions where there's a gate you actually need to use it before you get into the true mission area. Get close to the gate, select it, and hit the "Jump" button on your overview.

Most likely wait around for a couple minutes, and some ships should appear. The blow them up :)

No, I don't need to blow anything up according to the Journal. Also, I've hung around the gate for several minutes and I'm not supposed to jump through it either.

Have you tried to activate the gate?

If I remember correctly, you need to approach that gate ... when you'll be close enough, a smartbomb-like wave of damage will erupt from it, as well as a few NPC frigates ... your mission will be completed when the blast comes, you don't need to kill the frigates (IF it's the right mission I'm thinking of).
BTW, last time I tried that (with an alt created just for that), I wanted to do it with my noobship : the blast vaporised it. I tried again (on another specially made alt), but that time with the frigate I had recieved as a mission reward earlier in the sequence (a Condor), and I survived ... but with a small amount of hull hitpoints.

That's in the title of the thread ... "Cash Flow for the Capsuleers" is the name of the "new" sequence of missions you get when you finish the tutorial and your "tutorial agent" sends you to one of his friends (at least, for "combat" characters). AFAIK there are 10 parts in that sequence, all with the same name except for "part X of 10".

I ran that mission group recently. If you read the bottom of your journal entry, it will give you some information. Basically, just approach the gate, get the message about radiation and particles being released from the gate, then return to your agent.
The bomb is, I think, the next mission in the tree.

NOT AN ACCEL GATE! Sheesh, do intro missions!
Go right to it, then warp to station, fast. I'm a little kitty, who likes to claw. I'm a little puppy, who likes to bite. I'm a big fat dominix, who likes to pod. |

I hear its a tutorial mission designed to teach our new fellow pod pilots that shuttles (and noob ships) don't tank exceptionally well. --
CCP: PLEASE fix the forum software - thanks. |

Confirmed. Go to the gate that is in your journal. Then activate the gate, this will make u jump to another area and then approach the funky "snake looking asteroid" your computer will let you know you are taking damage and then it will say mission compelte. G2G..

Edited by: R3DRUM on 09/09/2007 08:02:27 same issue warped 1st gate and get message My sensors have found nothing in the area other than this lone stargate, partly hidden inside a cluster of rock formations. I would advise you to proceed with care, smuggler gates such as these are rarely left undefended.
Your agent instructed you to approach the stargate. Be ready to retreat should the need arise. all i see is a big rock looking thing went around it,through it stayed in it yet nothing and theres no gate in it either nothing there
