Just over a month ago the ceo of my corp stopped coming online. A few things need to be sorted out in the corp so we have had no option apart from voting in a new ceo. I would just like a a bit of help on exactly how to do this. I have Corp Management to lv4 and ethnic relations at just lv1. When i click 'Run for CEO' i am told i lack the skills required or there was a vote for a new CEO recently (which there wasn't). I thought that a new ceo wouldn't have to match the previous CEO's skills. Somebody tell me what im doing wrong?

Edited by: Phoenix Britannian on 17/05/2007 01:11:45 If you can't run for CEO, then either match his skills until you can, or leave the corp. You don't have a right to take a CEO position without doing it through normal channels.
Especially if he hasn't given you any shares. That makes you nothing more than the CEO's employee.

You might just need another level of Ethnic Relations.
Without knowing how many are in your corp and what races they are, it's hard to say.

Your old CEO might have trained to mega corp. So untill you match his skill level, you cant run for CEO. And going to the GM's are wrong, they have no bussness messing with in game corps unless there is somthing broken.
Leave your corp and start another....or train the needed skills, or just wait till he comes back.

Our Corporation is 41members big, and that is the limit so i presume the current CEO has corp management at lv4, as we cannot accept any new applications. The corp is a mix of races but mostly minmatar and Caldari.

I'd say it's definately your ethnic relations skill if your corp is made of mostly 2 races. Ethnic relations 1 will only allow you to have 20% of your corp be a race that isn't yours ... so assuming your Caldari (if not exchange Cladari for your race) you can only have 8 Non-Caldari members ... I'm betting you have more.

I was just reading a previous thread on this subject. It says a new ceo does not need to match the previous CEO's skills, The new CEO's skills will only take affect until you click update in the ceo's panel.
