Now I know that this is a bit of a silly request, but the addition of some sort of smartbomb rig (range/rof) would be fun, yet not overpowering.
Smartbombs, when used in the right hands, can be dangerous. Most of the time however, nothing larger than a cruiser will die from it, so it isnt all that overpowered.
What do you guys think?

they are a wtf type weapon and as such yeah why not give a 5% boost to range dmg and rof

I think that in general, eve needs more wacky effects, not just the same 7.5% shield boost strength, 5% damage, ect.
I think that tech 3 should have strange specialized effects, like energy neuts that get AOE, torps that go as fast as light missiles, and a smartbomb with a small jamming strength. Of course tech 3 would be expensive, rare, and have downsides as well...

T3 hav been sed to hav special abiltys like overcharging the module to create more dmg/range/effincy/rof etc so the user can scale up the dmg lets say at expensive of extra grid or cap use for example.

Well I would like to see some ecm smartbombs. A rig to increase range would also be nice (getting to that 5km is almost impossible for bs, and some drones even orbit out of this range -.-)
But we also need mining rigs while there at it

read the new 'bombers upgrade' thread which i cant find, mentions exactly what you want, tho just for bombers rather than generl smarties.

They do have ecm smartbombs, they're called ECM Burst. check it out.
