Fire him immediately. It's so bad it's not even funny any more. I have just spend 10 minutes to search for the "change market order" option to modify the price of an item I'm offering, until I realized that it was translated with "Reihenfolge aendern" ("change sequence").

Perhaps the bug report option translates as "Loud Insect Banging Noise" ?

That's either the funniest post ever and would win many awards if John Cleese had said it, or it's the most xenophobic piece of trash you could get away with on these forums.

Hey, at least you don't have to deal with the Russian translation, where "Signature radius" was translated as "signature" (the kind you write with a pen) and "jump clones" was translated as "jumping clones".

I play most MMORPGs in english, because most translations are often wrong or outdated.
The german translation of EVE is sometimes horrible wrong, sometimes very very funny, sometimes outdated (module descriptions) and sometimes pretty good.
But I don't see the need for translations in EVE, the official server language is english. You are expected to talk english, even if it is as crude as mine. Native speaking in local or global channels is not a good thing.
Yes, I am in a german players only corp, but only because that makes things easier on TS and general. ___

Most localized translations are done by computer translation programs and not by actual persons. That is why they are so horrible.
That's also why they pulled the Russian localized version. It was even worse then the German one is.
If your English skills are fair at least I would recommend using the English rather than localized versions. Idea: Treaties Idea: Jump Rigs |

I speak english and only english but I do have to agree that from what I have heard the german translation is almost laughable.
It's a shame but the truth is that it's done by non german speakers 9 times out of 10 that try the best they can.
Bug report it but yea I would just use the english version (of course u do need to be able to read english) which of course not everyone can I guess

It's known. Therefore I'd like to refer you to the EVE Localization Development and Discussion forum.

It is of critical importance to understand that translation is a job. It requires a human mind and skills, and even specialized training. Despite being fully bilingual French/English, if I was to translate EVE into French I'd have the hardest of times translating certain terms (e.g. jump clones, doomsday device, carrier, just to name a few big ones, even battleship would pose a big problem) and not make it sound silly.
