God I love "not accepting connections" bug over "5,4,3,2,1 repeat 5,4,3,2,1" bug.
Seriously EvE is a 4 year game, yet I have rarely seen a normal server up. There are tonsa MMORPG out there, perhaps EvE is the only one that is having different problems each downtime everday. I wonder if devs even try to understand the problem and try correct it or just say "Let's restart it until the problem passes itself."

You might give some thought that EVE run on the single largest MMO server cluster in the world its not like they can ring up WOW and ask if its happend to them

Have you worked with clustered servers before?
I don't think you want too, I find it hard enough diagnosing problems with a 6 machine cluster let alone 100

Well thats wrong, most of last week they had the server started up early, 30 minute downtime.... give them a damn break or would you prefer to play on a bugged server?

Hmmm so let's not mention that about half of the time downtime is less than an hour. But as soon as it lasts 30 seconds longer than normal we get every crybaby moron whining on the forums.

There's been plenty of perfectly fine server startups. Problem is that you don't see people coming here and posting threads about those. Of course it's typical of human nature to focus on the negative rather than the positive.

I've been playing for a bit more than two years, and server start-up problems are very rare indeed ...
To the OP : since you obviously will quit eVe to go to WoW, can I have your stuff ? I'd hate to see perfectly fine pixels and virtual items go to waste because YOU have a crappy connection ...
Don't blame the server, blame your ISP.
