I would like to know if there is a way to tweak the graphics settings, as I don't know where to find it in the options. I am kind of wondering if there is a way to change the graphics at all, as what I have seen in screenshots is not quite what I get to see. I have a pretty good setup, Nvidia 7600GT and 2 GB Ram, so I thought I could play around with the graphics but I don't know where to look. Thanks in advance.

You can turn on antialiasing in your driver settings, along with anisotropic filtering.
The only "graphics improving" thing you can do ingame other than changing the resolution (hit ESC/graphics) is turning off LOD, and I would NOT recommend that.

So there is no actual in game graphics tweak? That's kind of weird, I don't think I've heard of an MMO without it but, oh well. Now, how do I make my character pic appear on the forums? Settings doesn't seem to have any listing for it. "Remember, Remember, the Fifth of November." |

What is it that you don't see in-game? Lens flare or some such?
There are a few graphics settings in the ESC menu, but I've never touched them. I assume you've poked around in there?

Perhaps you've seen screeshots of the future graphics update? I'm not sure if I've actually seen them, but I bet they look alot nicer than the current game.

Yes, while in-game, hit Esc and look for the Tab entitled "Graphics" or something like that (I forget).
There are a few settings you can fiddle with. Though, I warn you, it is hard to decipher what is what, because CCP didn't follow *conventional* naming procedures. Which is something you'll find consistent throughout your Eve experience.
First, change your preferences using your graphics card settings, then fiddle with the Eve settings. It should improve things just a bit, but remember Eve is dated so you won't find the picture perfect graphics of today's latests and greatest games. Still quite attractive though.
Re your character pic, there is nothing you can do. CCP has long standing issues in the forum re the functioning of character pics, which I thought they had solved. In any event, your pic will show when it shows. For the meantime, get used to being an Exclamation Point!
Welcome to Eve.

You need to go into your cache folder and open prefs.ini and add: advancedDevice=1 (capitalization matters)
This opens up some more options, but there is no adjustment to detail levels ETC. Pretty much just things like resolution, bit depth, buffers, anti-aliasing and things like that. -=^=-
