Anyone checking on those missions as they give no standingpoints for Concorde at all and don't change your security status either. Are they not supposed to do that or are they bugged?

Edited by: Relentless on 07/01/2004 03:37:48 Nope they don't. Bugged or whatever, they don't help your security rating at all.
The security boosters I keep getting however (transport this evidence about so-and-so) do cheese off whatever faction that you're transfering evidence about. So the negative part works fine.

I've had a couple of these.
They are the old 0.5 security rating bump misions which used to be part of the linked chain where you gathered the evidence then brought the drug-baron to trial. The reward was a unique (only dropped from that mission) nicer than average module and the sec bump.
Now that they've changed how sec-rating works the mission just doesn't apply anymore. It's just a normal mission now in standard rotation. You don't even have to have done the precursor mission to get it. I was given this mission by an agent for whom I'd only done a few missions. He said "Remember when you captured Drug-Baron X for me?" And I said "No you toad...I just met you" but it made no difference....
so for now those missions are just strangely worded normal missions with slightly crappier than average rewards...just like the other scenario missions.

I especially like it how the old implant missions, "I have a task here with a reward I am sure you will like," are kinda meaningless as well. Haha I got one today and was like SWEET! IMPLANT! cuz i remembered that these were the missions that gave implants from b4 ..
but nope :) no implant lol. I checked the mission log and the reward was a medium armor repair module. lol

So I guess no one has been able to raise their security status or Concord standing since Castor was implemented then? Not by missions and not by killing 20k - 50k rats?
At least the decay decrease is halted too atm.

Haven't seen any security raise... The mission does have a negative impact on your standing with whatever corp the drug lord belongs to.

My sec status has been going up from killing rats, although very slowly. It went up .001 or .01 after I killed a quite a few out in the belts. Just have to check your long sec status in member details though the chat window thingee (I wrote my down cause its a loooong number) went out and killed some of them and checked it again and found it had gone up a little.
The missions don't do a jot to improve your standings.

That's odd, because I thought I remembered a CSM chat where one of the Devs said that killing ships would no longer affect sec rating in any way....

They do; I've inspected the staning transaction logs, and there are entries for killing rats. (Killing rats because of a mission doesn't od it, though)
