Read the previous page, no metion on this one.
I go to press the People/places neocom button, and become essentially frozen for 30-45 seconds. I then set a solar system destination using the search feature, and another 30-45 seconds of being absolutely frozen.
Running the 1360 patch and have cleared my cache twice to no avail.
Any one else experiencing this problem? and if so , any possible reasons? or fixes?
Thanks all CJ

Put all your bookmarks into folders.
The more "loose" bookamrks in the root the laggier it will get - awful bug and no way around it other than the slow painful process of taking 45 odd seconds to move every bookmark into a folder.

Watch out your folders wont be there and all your bookmarks will be in one long list if you completeley uninstall eve, erase its directory and reinstall it.
The reason i bother reinstalling is every time i do it i gain about 10GB of drive space. Eve is a messy prog.

Great so the BM cause the problem... CCP or anyone... can BM be edited outside of game or purged without doing each one, one by one?

I think the hugest files are in some kind of planet detail names in your cache folder and you can just delete those files instead of reinstalling eve to get the file size back down. I started with a 5 gig hard drive this is how I know, I would get booted out so that I could see the low hard drive space message.

The bookmarks themselves are stored server side. Which folder they're in is stored on the client-side, in the cache\settings\char_XXXXXXX.dat file(s). They're some binary format though, so not easy to edit by hand.
I think someone said this is meant to be fixed on chaos now, something to do with taking the 'jumps' column out, as the lag was to do with it calculating all those distances when you opened the tab.

Pre castor it listed the jumps away but it wasn't laggy at all. I think it has something to do more with the sorting than it does the number of jumps away. I have like 100 bookmarks that I made and then reinstalled along with castor cause I got a new hard drive and the lag has made bookmarks useless for me ever since, I use them for missions when I have to but that's it.

So it is binary!!!! someone wrote a program to do it in the first place... What is the format/file structure.... Fix it Fix it Fix it pretty please with sugar ang honey Or let me delete all my bookmarks and start fresh... Makes little sense that the folders would make a diff if all the data still needs to come from the server but if that is the way it is..................................

I have this same problem, with one catch.
I seem to be unable to make any folders. I enter a folder name, hit ok or create or whatever, and the folder never shows up.
I need a fix for this problem, BM's are useless to me right now :(

The above post referring to folders in bookmarks sounds like the 1352 folders problem. 1360 introduces scanner failure to refresh and LAGGGGGG on bookmarks not in folders Guess you get to choose.. see the bad guys or have folders lag and die
