Edited by: Korizan on 20/05/2007 17:32:36 EVE is a giant sandbox so the question is how come you are still here and how did you get to the where you are today.
1. I'm just curious what people do in EVE from day to day. 2. How did you get to where you are now. 3. Where are you going next in the game or are you happy where you are ?
This will perhaps help new players decide where to go and how to get there and even help those that have lost there way and are not sure what to do next.
And some of them might even be funny
With everything from CEO's /Alliance leaders/ PVP'rs / Pirates / Mission Runners / Haulers / Miner /Explorers/ Industrialists / the list goes on and on there should be no shortage stories.

Hmmm...I dont believe its a sandbox, I mean, I never got ganked by the kid with the uber dumptruck before. It's more like ... shark fishing with your t-esticle-s, you may not know exactly what's gonna happen or when, but chances are you aint gonna like it. Meanwhile, the water sure feels good...
2: I started out as a n00b getting ganked a bunch by D2, trying to make it to the fabled lands of wealth in 0.0. Now they are blue to me, crazy world.
1: Anymore I just mess around with the market, mine a bit, pick a fight or two, fly around in some Alliance op as a (slightly) smarter drone to some FC, or chat to corpmates.
3: Cancelled one account already. Sorta waiting atm, hoping the lag/macros/farmers/meta-gaming assinineness/crowding gets better...eventually.

1. Today I'm in a roleplay corp, RP'ing (and fairly successfully at that) industrialists in Khanid. I occasionally mission and pvp
2. I joined my first player corp along with a bunch of similarly aged ppl after a month or two of eve. During those early months, I traded NPC goods, mined and missioned. Eventually I settled on missioning for a career.
When my first corp folded, it was really disappointing all our efforts came to nill. I went into manufacture / industry (becoming an industrial player as I'd always kinda wanted to) with a couple of old corp members in a new corp.
Another friend eventually joined a roleplay corp in Khanid, and we moved there, joined the alliance that was subsequently formed. But again that ultimately came to nothing and the corp ultimately felt like a failure.
We merged with a bunch of other corps and formed a fresh new alliance. At the same time we got into exploration, collected all the new interfaces and got manufacturing T2, making a bucket load of isk along the way
3. Make more money, get into cap ship business and hopefully one day make our own outpost!

1. From day to day i bust rats to build up my isk so that in a month or two i can get my phoenix, and when i'm not ratting i'm usually interviewing potential recruits intrested in joining 4 rings. "i could get it at discount from alliance but then it would be alliance dread and i want 100% private dread"
2. Luck honestly. I joined 4 rings my first week in EVE and they joined myriad who brokered a deal to rent space in 0.0 from LV. Eventually we got a deal with Chimp to provide defensive support and get our space free-ish. After fighting many battles with Chimp "almost once a day, most with IAC but nto all".
After a fullscale invasion from IAC while Chimp was falling apart "they hit the first domino that finished chimp, but Chimp was already all set up to fall. We were left with UNL as neighbors which we harassed on a daily basis "basically IAC abandoned UNL once Chimp was dead" and without IAC UNL was little more then cannon fodder . Gained a lot of experience beating on them, finally got kicked out by TCF after the battle for I-N.
Spent some time in low-sec empire then NPC space when our corp finally left the dieing Myriad to join D-L and here we are. Basically we've fighting since day 1 and have some good fighting experience under my belt. Fun stuff ^^.
3. Well i'm looking to get my dread. Once i finally get it i'll be able to use it to increase my income significantly "yeah cargo dread " anyways should help me make more money and of course when i have more skills to fit it well i'll be using it to help the alliance fight it's wars. Though i still have 2-3 months before I can fully fit my ship, but i've waited this long i can wait a little longer. ____________

1) I'm a compulsive forum-*****, as evidenced by my contribution to threads like this one When not posting on the forums, I'm either trading on the market or flying around 0.0 looking for people to kill.
2) I started out as a solo mission-runner in Gallente space. Joined a carebear corp based in Lonetrek and moved up there, where we ran missions as a team. During that time I started the subtly-named BluOrange Industrial Agency and became a capital ship salesman. (Many thanks to my first client, who paid me a 10 million isk tip even after I failed to sell his ship.)
As a warship dealer, I got to know a lot of alliance fighters and pirates and so forth. I met a particularly charismatic pirate who was starting a new mercenary corp and signed up with him - I'd always planned on getting into PVP; and level 4 missions had become a toxic mixture of boredom and frustration. He strongly recommended that I take the Agony Unleashed classes, and today we are both members of Agony Unleashed.
3) Next step is climbing the rank structure of Agony Unleashed. I'm currently signed up as a trainee instructor, last weekend's BASIC class would have heard me helping the lead instructor with bits and pieces of the class. As part of that, I've started leading gangs, and the odds of coming back alive when I'm in command are climbing. I'm also hoping to see Agony become a serious player in alliance warfare - right now, we're not big enough to be much more than an interesting footnote to the major wars. ------ Agony Unleashed is recruiting. |

1 - Some day's it's pure PvP, sometimes it's ratting other days it's missions in Empire for money, salvage and loot. All time spent not Pvping is spent in pursuit of isk/mods/ships for better pvp.
2 - The war took it's toll on me and my corp. When you spend week after week under seige from MC, eventually unable to afford to field a ship for ratting, let alone pvp you have to make changes or just die off. We chose to make a move and come up with a new plan, rebuilding in Empire for the past month then it is back out to the trenches somewhere.
3 - Personally I like the corp I am in, I want more PvP in smallish gangs, I have had my fill of 100+ fleet battles. Eventually I would like to field a capital ship, but for now I will stay in stuff I can afford to lose, since I seem to do that frequently.

1. I do a mixure of mining and ratting with a side dish of PvP. Just building up resources for a Maelstrom and making some isk so I can replace it when it goes boom. Other than that I just chat to corp/alliance mates and try and help out the newer people in the corp with fittings, ship choices and general guidence.
2. I orginally set out to be a big time miner (how exciting?!) so looked for a corp that was recruiting miners and were not too big but had a good core of players. With them I got my first taste for PvP. Been modifiying my goals the more I learn about Eve, to fit in with what I enjoy about Eve.
3. I'm pretty happy where I am, our corp has just joined an Alliance and we are looking to grow and progress. I will probably move more into PvP once I feel my skills (and wallet) are up to it. Along with spending more of my time helping out the new recruits, as that's what really gives me the most satifaction.

1. I'm the CEO of a merc corp, so i basically fight and write corp mails . It's a good life.
2.Well I've had a lot of help from mates over the past year who have helped me when I was a noob. Especially this one guy called Vintak, who I was with in my first corp, who told me to make EvE playable for a long time, I should plan ahead to work towards something. So I worked towards an AF, then a HAC, and finally Command Ship. Now I got all three and I'm trying to think of wat to do go for next
3.I'd like to be head of a money grabbing alliance who goes where we please but does not try to take over everywhere, as that wuld just be boring . Although, atm, my corp is fantastic and I'll be there for a while.
Next Question! ---------- JOIN SMI CORP FOR THE BEST HARDCORE ACTION IN EVE! |

1: I fly around, make other people's or my own ships explode, occaisionally get perfectly reasonable ransoms from them and their ship doesn't explode.
2: It just sorta happened. I turned out to be the right guy at the right time.
3: I quite like where I am in game right now, I'd prefer to stick around. ----------------------------------------------
