Hello EVE, I would like to get started with PVP. I took up exploration in hopes of earning enough to finanace PVP, unless I'm missing something important are there any better ways to accumulate funds to begin PVP? Also what corporation would be good to join for PVP or Caldari FW, respectively?
Thanks a bunch to anyone who takes time to answer. |

Theres tons different ways of making isk. In every field the better you get more you earn, exploration is good since its easy to start and doesnt need much starting capital. On exploration there is upper limit what one person can do and theres lots of RNG involved Trading/industry (NOT MINING) scale much higher but theres big need for startup isk and knowledge required. Missioning/incursionrunning and other combatrelated pve is also semisimple until you start to do the harder stuff where you need particular ships/fits and high skills to roll in the iskies.
Basically, anything in EVE can make you isk, aslong you are good at it. |

Signal Cartel is a great corporation but more about peaceful exploration than proactive PVP. For the latter you may want to talk to Brave Newbies, Pandemic Horde or Karma Fleet.
PVP oriented corporations will generally give you what you need to get started and have a SRP (ship replacement program) when you get blown up. Nullsec has a lot more opportunities for PVP and much better income opportunities for new players. You can earn a decent living salvaging anomalies more experienced players blitz for bounties. |

Yeah part of the oath is not engage in PVP. I'll have to leave Sig before doing PVP. |

Hey hopefully I am not to late to the party,
If you want to make money for PVPing, the first thing you need to know is: You're gunna lose lots of money. Which is fine as long as you understand that all PVP ships are going to die in a glorious fire. However if you want to discuss in depth methods of earning money feel free to message me! |

Generally speaking, most PvP pilots require some other form of income to fund their PvP and this is especially true when starting out. You will be loosing ships on a daily basis and the first thing you much learn is how to make a good and economical fit. Keeping your ships cheap, and your hulls small is one of the central tenants of cost effective PvP.
Now, in most cases PvP will not earn your more ISK than you loose. Though, it might be possible to spent time ratting while out in lowsec hunting, and this could net you a bit of ISK.... Perhaps if you develop the approach of ratting until the bounties you've earnt is more than the value of your ship - and only then go out in a blaze of fire. You can have cost effective PvP.
Another thing you must do is minimise the hassle involved in loosing a ship. Simulate a ship fitting that you are happy with. Buy all the modules and hulls for 20 ships at your favorite trade hub. Then put them in a courier contract to a highsec station somewhere on the lowsec border where you want to roam.
One of the best PvP methods for earning ISK is enlisting in the militia and fighting in FW. As the LP can easily be traded for items in the store and sold of the market. Many of the items in the LP store can only be earnt in the militia and this gives FW players something of a monopoly on those items. Generally speaking, if you avoided the PvP engagements and spent your time O-plexing systems you can net an income somewhat equivalent to carrier ratting.... All of which can be done with minimal ISK investment and an alpha state clone.

In addition to this, FW is a lot of fun. The fights are often more fair than most and it's a great place to learn PvP in small craft - with solo and small gang combat. Something which you WILL NOT GET in nulsec blob warfare.
My FW corporation, Federal Vanguard, is recruiting and if you want to fight for the Gallente we'd love to have you. You can learn more about what we do at https://zkillboard.com/corporation/98502090/
We do solo and small gang hunting. we can give you fitted ships, and teach you. Fleets tend to be either hunting packs, or O-plexing fleets, and there is plenty of idle time between engagements to ask questions and learn. Many of our pilots have been playing for many years, and they stay in FW cause we believe it's the most fun you can have playing this game. |
