Honstly, with proper skills the Rokh is an amazing ship. Its tank is insane and a full rack of neutrons is easy to fit and pumps out some insane damage. Its weakness is its inability to properly fit propulsion or tackling mods with a strong tank. Which is why i would have a mega over a Rokh for solo. But for caldari pilots wanting a gunnery ship, we have a pretty good one.

Hmmm as im comparing Caldari ships as HAC, Recon ship etc, why we have no drone bay = 0 m3? WTF Another races as Galente etc , they have drone bay 25-50m3 so why we are so "nerfed" What we have more then other races, that we dont have drone bays ? We dont need them? We are so powerfull ? *snip* Signiture is not eve related - hutch |

My caracal I use for harassing anything under a cruiser is T2 assaults, T2 precision lights, 1 BCU2, 1 cap relay Mids are LSB2, target painter, web, scram, sensor booster
pretty much it runs away from bigger things, but in a small gang it annihilates their tacklers until nothing is viable to shoot at and leaves once it's called primary. I'm thinking of switching out the sensor booster for an ECM. Makes locking the small things take a bit longer, but an ecm could also ruin any tacklers day.
But yea, nothing like watching an Inty come screaming at your group only to quickly explode or run away VERY fast as they are suddenly in structure. I can usally get two good shots off before they realize they aren't invulnerable, which is enough.

The drake is a perfect pvp ship. You can easily take down 1 or even 2 battleships solo (at once that is)
Wont give yer the setup tho, heheheh

For a Rokh tackler, you need two mid slots. One for an AB or MWD (if you're feeling gutsy) and a webber (the scrambler would be nice, but the truth is, its as much fun to see someone bail on a fight against a Rokh as it is to actually beat'em). XL (or L, just don't wait so long to kick it in) Shield Booster II, an Invuln II, then two of your choice. Personally, I keep an EM Hardener II, because that's the major gimp in shield coverage, then typically a Thermal. In the low slots, a Damage Control Unit picks up a little slack for the missing midslot hardener, and if you're comfortable with your cap regen, a PDU II for a little boost to shield and cap, then fit a mix of stabbers, tracking enhancers in the rest.
I know a lot of people roll their eyes at tracking mods on a Rokh, but get over yourselves. Its not about the range, its tracking speed. Even Large Blasters have trouble with the smaller stuff, and at blaster combat range, the margin of error between pwnage and gimpage is razor thin running antimatter rounds.
My preferred high slot set up is Five Large Blasters, I prefer Modal Mega Neutrons, since I can't use Tech II yet, and three Large NOS, I prefer E500 Prototypes. I've run 2 NOS and actually out capped a Nosdomi briefly, three should be enough to put you over the top.
This is my sig, there are many others just like it. With me, my sig is worthless. Without (or with even) my sig, I am worthless... |

Caldari = gang PvP. We have difficulty with damage + tank + tackle. We have to divide these roles up.
It should be said a Raven is a viable BS if you have a tackler/ EW along as a side kick. Does Batman really need Robin? If he's Caldari he does.
Caldari advantage summed up in 2 words, focus fire.
Vent/TS + knowlegable fleet commander is our friend.
Question: Could you be a solo PvPer and not be a pirate? Sort of the Lone Space Ranger?

The ewar ships and the rail ships are great in any situation, and most the missile ships work well as damage dealers in small gangs (missiles in fleets = mhh). ---------

One don't complain about Caldari pvp weaknesses, when flying fleet-fitted Vulture. Gangs will love it.

Those that badmouth Caldari for PvP really don't have a clue. They are very good in gangs (bait shieldtanks ftw) and can be used very effectively for solo (armour-tanked e-war Raven).

I don't often fly Caldari in PvP, but looking over the posts here I can't believe that no one has mentioned the BlackBird. Sure its useless solo, so are most good pvp ships tbh. The BlackBird is cheap and can lock down very expensive ships, actually the only Caldari ship I own... trained the race just for it.
Take a gang of 6-7 guys in AFs/Inties and tec1 cruisers and set them up against a tec2 fitted bs if you have a BB with you you'll kill it without loses. Sure dampers work too, but if your little force jumps into a gate camp a good BB pilot will sacrifice himself jam the tacklers and let the rest of the fleet get out alive.
Sure a BB pilot won't get many finial blows, but he turns the tide of a fight... I've never ever seen an FC complain about a pilot brining a BB to a fight, isk for isk in terms of its ability to turn the tide of a fight its one of the best pvp ships in the game. ------- Even my barge has kills... |

QFT. In small gang, a single Blackbird can completely ruin an enemy's day... |
