I think CCP made a mistake when they up the HP and Tank of the capital ships. Previous complain for the up was that they pop too easily so no one will risk them in the front lines. The fix may have made them harder to kill but also made combat with Capital Ships boring. It also made the gap between BS and Capital's too wide.
I think ccp should have reduce the cost to make a Capital (Carriers and Dread only) Ships and reduce the HP and Tank back to previous numbers. Ideal Capital Ship IMO should have 4 times the HP and Rep rate and cost about 3x the price of BS with insurance to match.
Before the people who already own's Capital Ships get all up-tight, I think as part of the Nerf, that owners of Capital Ship recieve 2 additional Capital Ship for each one they currently own.
Like to hear what people who have Carriers and Dread thinks...

perhaps the problem is not so much "dreads are soo big, nerf them", its more, OMG BS are so small, boost them". Perhaps a new class of ship to fit between dreads and battleships is required. And a second, for carriers. Someone keeps truncating my signature, I swear |

Leave capships alone, theyr meant to be big and hard to be killed, mean the name "capital ship" ^^ ---

I totally agree with the second post. Instead of changing what is already in place and causing a lot of problems, add a new class of ship between the BS and the Dread. Not only does this solve the problem but it adds extra content and something new to fly into the game.
My view is that it should fly in highsec which would allow many builders to make them. It may still use large weapons but have sig radius related bonuses to make them more effective against bigger targets but with a drawback of having bad tracking, thereby it is much less effective against smaller targets. Using them in highsec vs cruisers and such in missions is pointless since a BS could do far more damage against the smaller targets.
Relatively slow and cumbersome compared to the BS, it has enough armament to deal some serious damage close to that of a Dread but with a sig radius only slightly larger than an existing BS. Alone, they can give a Dread pilot something to think about but most effective 3v1 where they can deal enough damage even to a seige moded Dread to cause it problems.
