So, i am trying to get into FW, as a brand new player.
I have no problem dying all the time. But the 5 jumps to nearest FW area is killing me.
How do i set up, to get closer? currently based in Jita, so i can buy ships and fit etc. If i base at the closest staging system to FW items will not be available.
What should i do? Buy a freighter and then haull ships (if that is possible) to the system?
I know how to rebase my clone. But how do i get access to ships? |

Don't go to/via Tama. Find somewhere else. Being the closest lowsec to Jita, it is one of the most pirate-infested areas in the game.
I know this because I am a pirate.
[EDIT] Hauling your stuff to the nearest highsec (in this case, Nourv) is a good idea. Or, contracting someone to move it all for you. |

There are FW tradehubs. Ichoriya is one, one jump from lowsec and with several other close exits. Buy modules in Jita.
If you have an industrial racial ship, you can buy 3 ships at the time (with cargo expanders, more if trained). Don't load this ship with more than 50m worth unless you feel lucky and/or can fit a decent tank / use insta-undock.

Thanks for the tip on not going in the closest one from Jita. Thats what i have been dokng ;).
For the Tradehub for FW, like Icho, does that mean i can buy ships and modules there?
Are there any other good specific recommendations? For a good basing system for FW with Caldari? |

Do not buy ships. Build them. Get few blueprints and fetch minerals (kryos is your friend). You can ship tons of modules or ammunition, but ships arehard to transfer. If you build them in Ichoriya directly you save yourself much troubles.
I, personaly, would not set the base in Ichoriya. Too crowded for my taste. Samanuni is one jump from combat zone as well, and you have bigger chance to get some 1vs1 fight in Kurala constalation, than in Ishaga, where fleets are clatching. You can even run some L4 security missions there, if you will want some PVE... In Onnamon you can have medical clone in the same station, where you build your ships. Google Dotlan map and learn how to use it - there is a special tab for FW.
