Anyone remember MechCommander? It was a strategy game based on the MechWarrior universe. It must be about 8 or 9 years old now, possibly more. Anyways, it had a brilliant intro. They shoulda made it into a film; it was that good.

Ditto, but I reserve Starcraft II as having the best intro...when it comes out  . If Blizzard is going with the same direction as the cinematic trailer, then the intro will probably be awesome too. SC Brood War also had pretty cool intro.

Dune 2 was epic, youtube clip was run on some emulator though, the soundblaster sound was a lot more impressive.
For the rest the homeworld franchise though i like the I-war thing posted here.

Dune 2 is my favourite game of all time. i still install it from time to time (stolen off t'internet these days sadly, i've not had a floppy drive for years) purely to soak up the nostalgia.
