I was bored, so I jumped into a vexor and fit it for maximum gank and headed to lowsec. I spent about 2 hours trying to find someone in a belt to no avail. After that I decided that I could at least go harass some miners in highsec. Found a system with a macro/farmer team of 5 covetors in a system, so I started flipping/popping their cans. After about 3 times through the circuit, as I was happily popping one of the miners cans again, a domi warps in right on top of me. Me being the adventurous type I proceed to start bouncing off the domi with my MWD. Well I guess this was long enough for him to lock, as all the sudden I am locked webbed scrammed nossed and have a bunch of drones on me. Was pretty fun, I managed to get him to about 40% shields with my crappy all t1 vexor before he popped me ^^.
Maybe my next try at piracy will turn up a target in lowsec and I can actually do something 'yarrish'

LOL. That's about what happened to my Crane lol! Next time fit all stabs on your 'aggro ship' so hopefully you can run off, and have a BS or something fitted in a nearby station so you can lay the smack down when they come in with the heavy stuff.

If I had actually be planning on harassing the farmers I probably would have just been flipping the cans in a rookie ship or something <_<. When I logged in for a few minutes at lunchtime earlier today the domi pilot and 2 of the miners were still in system, so maybe I can get a proper ***** at the domi tonite, it is just a matter of coming up with a setup that will work against the cookie cutter nos domi.

The Domi that killed my Crane was a noobish Nos Domi w/ T2 Ogres. I shredded him with a T1 gunned/drone Blasterthron.

Good tips! I have just gained the skills to fly gallente BS recently after realizing that amarr really does blow goats, so I should be able to outfit a blasterthron and see about baiting that domi again. Good fun ahead I predict!

Fly over to their can, eject 1 unit of ore/ammo/whatever from your hold, open your can, open their can, move 100% of their stuff from their can to your can.
Now, in order to get their stuff back, they have to steal from your can. Stealing from your can = you can shoot them. \o/
Additionally, you can simply shoot YOUR CAN WITH THEIR STUFF IN IT, and just really **** them off as they watch an hours worth of effort go pop. WHEEEE!

And that is exactly what I was doing and what I was aiming for... Too bad I didn't think about the capabilitys of the ship I was flying at the time

Pack light drones and just pop his drones, if nothing else you win cause if pop like 6/7 its more than your shi :D

he was in a cruiser..... thats alot of HP for a cruiser to chew through by himself when fighting a BS, and with no cap i might add, he probably died pretty quick so bringing him down to 40% shields isnt too bad.

Almost same thing happened to me, they sent out a Mammydon. So some macros will try defend themselves if you bug'em for long enough

I did a similar trick against a Mega / Raven Gatecamp in my Caracal, Just taken of the AB to try a new fitout and got caught at 17km from the Mega, not enough speed to escape so rammed the Mega and went down in a hail of torpedoes whilst bouncing heavy missiles off the Ravens Shield.

True enough, but playing chess and stealing from their various wards while they are hunting you can be an amusing passtime. Especially if you're fit out with a stupid number of stabs. Can your tank on your hauler last long enough for you to steal and warp even if they've brought in 2-3 BS? Surprisingly the answer is yes an awful lot of the time unless you get bumped off warp by a drone.

This reminds me of an encounter last week where I was flipping cans due to bordom in my vexor. I flip a can that belongs to a pilot in a Cormorant suprizingly he engages and my drones eat him up pretty quick.
But right as I'm gathering the loot from his ship in warps his corp mate in a Raven who locks me down and begins to pound on me. So I sick my drones out on him and begin to fight back. Amazingly my ship held up better than I thought it would or the Raven pilot should not have been in that ship. Long story short I know how it feels going up against a BS in a vex, don't let it discourage you.
