cow/riot jumped in to a roughly even fight, lag spiked, pure jumped in (rk side), we held the field and killed the towers. Lots of people lost ships and when back again fast. Both sides brought it til the end.
umm, close. Roadkill/Smash/Coalition of Carebears/HellHounds/& friends had about 102 pilots (Cap, BSes & support ships) in BWF. They had bubbles on the gate, snipers in place and fighters with their support. About 66 pilots from AE/COW/IFOD jumped into the system and engaged the hostiles. We fought for what seemed like a long ten minutes and as we were taking the field (please check killboards if you disagree) local spiked to 188. Apparently a gang/fleet of Pure pilots came in to support the hostiles. Because we were pretty much out numbered (approx 3 v 1), we regrouped which allowed Roadkill/Smash/Coalition of Carebears/HellHounds/Pure & friends control of the system. After they took the field their Cap ships (approximately 11 dreads/etc) took out a friendly POS.
also we show 120 vs 80 Linkage It started out roughly 90 vs 80.
Barring the lag, it was a fun fight. Oh yeah, I'd like to say thanks to our enemies for bringing the fight.
reread what i said. It started out roughly even, then 20-30 pure joined the fight midfight.
Sorry m8 I'll have to respectfully disagree on numbers. But either way, it was fun. Also can you talk with your folks and have them post all their killmails, i.e,

Does capitalization, punctuation and some sense of grammar not carry over to other languages? Regardless theres no need for a Smash leader to start derailing a thread talking about lag, thanks for finding our smack funny but theres no need for you to start it here.
To all pilots involved, it could have been an epic fight, filled of explosions and such precious things as; activating modules, moving and the like. The state of eve has gotten progressively worse over the past few years. And now with the implimentation of new anti blob bombs i can only forsee it getting worse.
CCP, if you don't want us to blob up, at least allow us to fly away from each other or turn on some modules, eh?

Yup, local at 165 and it took me 1-2 minutes to write in a chat and about 3 minutes for my ship to register a warp-to order. And I wasent on the gate until the end.
And 2 hostile towers where taken out, not 1

Smashkill/friemds fleetsize was at 100ish when infod/CoW/AE/friends jumped in. Local was abit higher, but a few hostiles/neutrals were also in system. when the hostiles jumped in it was 194.
It was a great a great battle, with lots of explosions etc. But yeah the lag was killing. Literally.
I myself was unable to target anything, but that's pobably because I was dampened ****less. Luckily a bit later, hostiles were so polite as to come within targeting range. Unfortunately, a squad seemed to have picked me as their primary. Scrambled and under attack by several ships, I burned cap like a madman, trying to stay alive. However, I managed to NOS the Harpy scrambling me untill his cap ran out, and managed to warp my raven out just as my tank broke.
Having lost my drones, I decided to dock to get some more and fix my shields.. However, this took about 5 minutes to do so. undockign and warping back in took about the same amount of time. Upon arriving the grid took ages to load. By the time I could see anything on my overview again, most hostiles had been destroyed or were fleeing outside of my range.
But in the end, although lag was bad, I was able to enable some modules, engage my drones, and saw lots of ships go boom. what really made me happy is that it was mostly hostiles that did the boom thing.
During the fight, local went over 200. But I had no idea who's reinforcements they were.
Thanks to infod/CoW/AE for bringing it even when having a slight number disadvantage (at the start of the battle). But then, you are professional PvPers, and numbers don't mean everything. Respect for our enemies for that, thanks for the fun, and see you on the battlefield. I hope you're still around in 6 weeks as I'll be away for that period.
Now get that lag sorted! BWF has been the staging area for large numbers of pilots for a while now, and the lag is still insane!
There's little a sledgehammer can't fix. If you can't fix it, you need a bigger sledgehammer.

Agreed that lag was TERRIBLE. Jeebus it was bad. With some patience, I was able to to shoot some targets, but then I needed to reload my guns and they WOULDN'T FINISH RELOADING. I eventually had to warp out, reload and warp back in. WTF!?

I cant decide which flavor of lag is worse, the last battle where a couple things started to load then absolutely nothing until the clonevats, or this flavor where I could actually control my ship, click modules (which would even activate after a minute or two), but had absolutely nothing on overview or in space for all but a few seconds of a 30 minute fight.
I guess this flavor is better as I actually managed to guess enough and end up surviving, but its sure hell on the blood pressure.

BWF is not for those with old pcs etc. I lost 4 ships in 3 days in every occasion not loading anything for a good 20 mins. Screen unfroze a good 10-15 minutes after I had allready lost the ship... check mails with guns fully loaded (which is a shame :) ).
I didnt participate in this particular one because all the previous ones were bad enough allready. SO for me this fleet war ended a good few days ago and those with the supercomputers can have their fun on their one... till then see you when I gank you somewhere far far away from bwf Arguably my opinions represent to an extent the opinions of my alliance and in particular circumstances give rise to a valid "casus belli" claim. |

Dude... I could feel the lag through TS. Besides, I remember the fight we had on the 8mg gate couple days ago. *shudder* --- Playing minmatar is "like going down a flight of stairs in a office chair firing an Uzi". It's a templar, an amarr fighter used by shuttles. Tho I hear they don't tank very well. |

I think I should be crateful that I never reached the fighting system. I lagged out 1 jump out before the fight started. And yes - it would have been equal fight (2 hostile bs + 1 fighter + 1 support vs. friendly bs). |

CCP give us more server ressources!!
I wasnt there but looking at killboard it was "kinda" equal fight. SMASHKILL only had same ammount of carriers and bs as our entire fleet. Looking at their fittings they should have died even less numbers very nicely but i guess lag was too bad.
