I might fly a Pilgrim soon for the first time. Training for it has obviously slacked me off in other areas.
I am wonder what to train up first to help it out. Obviously I have cloaking: 4 and Recon Ships: 4
My damaging with drones is currently with Drone Interfacing 4, I want to know should I train for the edge in more damage and go for Scout Drone 5, plus Gallente Drone Spec 4 which would let me use hammerhead II with nice about 40 more dps or so.
Or should I train Hull Upgrades to 5 so that I can use EANM II, and have a slightly better tank than how it would be with only I's.
In the long run these are the skills I have planned.
Energy Emission Systems: 4 (to use tech 2 med nos) Weapon Disruption: 4 (to train Destabilization) Turret Destabilization: 4 (help tracking disruptor) Propulsion Jamming: 4 (less cap use for web+scram) Armor Compensation skills: 4
While I am training up, should I lean more towards training tank skills or damaging?

Pilgrim requires Recon V to not suck. With Recon IV, the cloak takes 100 CPU which precludes any kind of decent fit.
Seriously, just fly a Curse. Curses do fine with Recon IV. Tech 2 drones will help but you seem to be one Rank 1 skill away. Also, get Signal Suppression before you get any of those ewar skills, sensor dampeners are far more effective than what you have listed.

here is one possible setup Ive looked at that fits with my skills.
HIGH: Cloak 1x Small Diminishing Power Drain 1x Medium Diminishing Power Drain 1x Small Neut II
MID: 1x Fleeting Propulsion Inhibitor 1x Faint Warp Prohibitor 2x Balmer TD's 1x Medium Electrochemical booster
LOW: 2x EANM II 1x DCU II 1x MAR II 1x 1600mm Rolled Plate
RIGS: 1x Anti-Kinetic Pump 1x Anti-Thermic Pump
Armor HP = 7500 Resists: EM/Ex/K/T = 76/76/73/69
So many things could be changed, like 2 MAR II, for better repping, ensuring you could tank alot of damage in the engagement, and guaranteeing that you chose your engagement right against a turret ship with no nearby backup, you just cannot die, with dual rep cap injected, unless you run out of cap charges or something :)
Some people drop the plate for more resists like, Low: 1 Armor Kinetic Hardener 1 Thermic Hardener 2 EANM II 1 MAR II
I just can't decide, more resists, (to me not that much of a gain) or the 1600mm plate... Guess I'll have to test it on corp mates, both against an identical "enemy" see which does better etc.

Generally, if you are flying a recon and your target has the oppourtunity to target/hit you, you should kiss your ass goodbye. Try using the recon's special abilities to your advantage as much as possible. Furthermore, I believe that you have started to read my signature. |

Well, why is 7500 armor + resists all above the 70's so fragile? I mean a Myrmidon without a plate doesn't have that high armor.
So is a Myrmidon so fragile that as soon as it gets locked in a one-one it's considered dead too?
I know the recons are fragile, but the plate makes it less so and it does have nice resists when fitted.

epic fail a myrmidon will reach 70+ all resis with a sustainable dual rep tank and will do 400+ dps

In a straight out slugfest, a Myrm would oblitzerate a Curse or Pilgrim. It just doesn't have the muscle to back itself up in a fair fight. ------------------- My opinions (ie, all of my posting here) are not my corporations. Nor should it be taken as such. |

You mean a fair fight as in no electronic warefare? All is fair in love and war.
