OK, get ready for reading this note that is only done to say how ****ed off I'm about the new sec stat system I got my sec stat now at -2.6 (once did some pvp ) After the big patch known as Castor I have been wanting to do agent for r&d, but nooo I can't because I'll get killed in a sec if I even think of going to 0.9 or 1.0 Now agents are mostly in high sec systems so... I have been trying to get my sec stat up by killing npc but it is really HARD. The sec won't get up I haven't been doing any pvp in a month, haven't even had the idea of kicking some ass. And I think everyone hates the new sec stat thing, 5% every week, even + status, now come on, that's just stupid, u know how long it takes me to wait for that if I want to get up to 1.0 systems, well I took my calculater and started to put in the numbers, when I got to 1.9 I think I stopped, my fingers just couldn't take it. And now agents mission are the thing to do, anyone that aint doing them are just well yeah... I know of a few players that are really just ****ed off because of this new system, please guys, you got to do something about it, or you will starting to lose players because of this. Anyone that think the same?
P.S. don't give me crap about my spelling, I'm from Iceland (and we don't speak english as basic, god damm it)

Well there is a skill "Fast talk" that help you lower your sec rating. 4% / lvl. But it seems that the 5% per week doesn¦t work at all. If you open up "Show transactions" on Concord you will se what you have done to lower your sec rating and I haven¦t found anything that says 5%.
Anyone who got a good answer to this ?

I managed to gain sec rating by doing a mission for Gallente Navy, took some evidence to a Concord station and gained 0.01 sec!!!!
As for research agents only in 0.9-1.0 systems thats a load of pants, my lev3 agent is in a 0.4 If God made us to be just like him, then God is dumb and maybe a little ugly on the side...[F.Z] |

Yeah, this is a big bug. First they removed our ability to kill anything in <0.5 empire space then they removed our ability to raise our security rating so we could go into >0.4 empire space and wage war.

Agreed, this needs fixing. Killing npc's gains you 0.0016% every 10minutes or so, and since it is in percent it will go really really REALLY slow. Double clicky your faction standing with concord to show the changes. FIX IT PLEASE. :)

The 5% per week adjustment was disabled. I think it was papa smurf who said so, but i can't remember which post it was.
If the sec drop was for pvp then it must have been within empire space as pvp in 0.0 had no sec hit. This generally means JIP camping, with a few RP exceptions such as Oracle and PIE, though they were at official war so no sec hit there either.
So i don't see why empires should allow wanted criminals into their space, or why they should forget your past transgressions within a couple of days. To be honest i still don't understand why concorde pay bounties to members of their most wanted list

I could be wrong, and you might want to check on the Crime and Punishment forum, but I _believe_ that it was changed so the gradient negatives went away and it was a straight -5.0 is death and anything higher is fine anywhere in empire space, when castor went live.
Again, double check, but I think I read that somewhere. -- TomB: End the speed-race. 1 propulsion mod allowed, make turrets affect ship attributes like +speed/+ab speed +agil for progressivly smaller/lighter turrets, -speed/-ab speed -agil for long-range. |

Well I got a -2.6 and I get killed if I go to 0.9 or 1.0 so... Don't think so. When death finds you, there are no easy solutions, only petitions. |

Ok. Like I said, it must have been a rumor. Thank you for clarifying. -- TomB: End the speed-race. 1 propulsion mod allowed, make turrets affect ship attributes like +speed/+ab speed +agil for progressivly smaller/lighter turrets, -speed/-ab speed -agil for long-range. |

Oki, if you have a positive faction standing and a corp standing 0.0 or better with a research corp you can do the following: train connection 1to 5, this will give you 0.4 to 2.0 standing boost provided your standing with the corp was 0.0. To initiate the standing you will need to do one mission.
Ask a friend to do it for you, while you do the travel in a pod. When you have the standing you get access to level 1 and 2 research agents, which is not great but better than nothing.
You can go see them in a pod too, CONCORD wont fire at you.
And also, you can find research corps agent in low security systems, I had a look at Duvolle agents and saw a level 1 in Heydieles which is a 0.3 system, there are probably a lot of others, maybe even in 0.0.

Well, it sounds to me that you wanted to be a pirate and then the new patch came out that made pirating the second best thing to do next to agent missions. I have to say you chose your fate now stick it out until you can do agent missions. ______________________
