Not really! More like a group of guys who want to be pirates but also want the freedom to move into 1.0 systems in the event of a wardec which we will inevitably incur.
Racketeers are all about fun and nothing else. No interest in what's going on in 0.0 and who has sovereignty over what system. No interest in role-playing while dressed in authentic Amarr / Minmatar clothing. No interest in "honour"! This is a GAME and RAK plays it how it's supposed to be played - for fun!
I'm not expecting us to be the most popular guys in Eve but we love what we do and if it's your ore that gets stolen or your can that gets flipped then I'm sorry but that's just tough. Personally, I can see no way this game can be enjoyable to anyone who does not get involved in PvP to some degree but I guess everyone's different. There are many people in this game that have similar interests to us; we just provide an environment where they can link up with likeminded individuals.

Is it really that difficult to understand? We like empire wars and we like stealing from people. We also like being able to move freely around empire without having to switch to an alt or pay for 2nd accounts.
And why is someone showing off about how much T2 stuff they lost to pirates?

1. who said about second account? you're just imagining things 2. i guess you're no different from one of those 'wanna be pirates but can't risk sec hits or my mama would come bashing into my room with her broomstick' typo corp. 3. it's their free will to show off what they lost, so unless a mod/gm/dev says not to, it's within the boundaries of w***um rules --------------------------------------

Im not showing off....many people of my age have t2 stuff and with the mild expense of it now....its just stuff...merely stating that engaging as a blob in high sec is kinda weak....but much luck to you and yours and have fun killing those vizir guys :)

Edited by: Ibram Ancille on 31/05/2007 02:02:22 pi+rate ûnoun 1. a person who robs or commits illegal violence at sea or on the shores of the sea. 2. a ship used by such persons. 3. any plunderer, predator, etc.: confidence men, slumlords, and other pirates. 4. a person who uses or reproduces the work or invention of another without authorization. etc....
Since when do you have to go to lo-sec or 0.0 to do proper pirating? There is no law there (well, a little in lo-sec) so what is being done in 0.0 isn't even real pirating - just anarchy. I don't even like the term pirate, I think criminal fits the bill much better (no water, no sand, no fishies, no scurvy). For something to be illegal, one would have to assume that there is some sort of law involved, and in 0.0, there is none.

Good job racketeers then.
Seriously, so you feel like some one else's play style isn't good enough? Well that's unique opinion in eve isn't it?
Like they said, they play to have fun and want to do it their way.
If you don't like it so much, why don't you wardec them and have some fun? Oh, can't go into highsec, well that sounds like what they're trying to avoid

people in this game are so touchy about friggin' stupid honor and roles that everyone should fit into. If you just hate what we do then come do something about it. Otherwise go about your business and enjoy the game in your own way. I don't tell anyone that they can't be a mining . Those people pay the same good money to play, and I say let them play how they like. If you wanna write a roleplaying sob story bio, and wet yourself over the idea of flying that new hulk... be my guest.

I've had an encounter with these fools, on the occasions they didnt steal my ore, they just moved it to thier own can. Then fled after my corpmate warped in.
Later, a guy from the corp conved my hauling alt and asked if I could haul for him, knowing I'd just used my hauling alt to retrieve my stuff, then smacked me calling me a 'noob, scared wont undock' and I told him all I can fly is a hauler.
I dont think much of them, but they are using the crappy game mechanics that allow a frigate to move all the ore from 1 can into another in 1 go.

Of course you would never think of using the game mechanics to jettison containers, to fill them with alot more ore than you can fit in a secure container...
There's a word for it... Wait wait... Hypo something...
