Complex Potential	Posted - 2007.05.30 23:50:00 - [1] So I'm bored of an evening and decide to have a play with the Hawk. I've heard it passive tanks nicely but have never tried it. I usually prefer the Ishkur for AF stuff. Anyways, after a bit of tinkering I came up with this... HIGHS 4 x Rocket Launcher II MIDS AB 20km Scram Magnetic Scattering Amp II Medium Shield Extender II LOWS 2 x Shield Power Relay Wasn't expecting much tbh, but took it up against a friend's Ishkur and it passive tanked his 5 drones indefinately (whilst being uber nossed of course). With my middling shield skills I was getting about 16 shield points per second when my shield was down around 30%. This is as good as a T2 Small Booster and requires no cap :) Of course, my scram is gonna go fast if anything nosses me, but at least I'll be able to make a fight of it with absolutely no capacitor. Any suggestions, comments? I'm always interested to hear.

hellsknights Phoenix Navy Chaos Incarnate.	Posted - 2007.05.31 01:49:00 - [8] I think rockets have a higher damage cycle over ten seconds then missiles do. I would stick with rockets if you plan on using the hawk. BTW the Hawk is the worst AF in the game..My opinion and many others. Hells

Hells As I said before, I usually fly an Ishkur, which I consider to be the best in the game. But the Hawk has a few interesting abilities that the other's do not. Yes it has the lowest DPS but I'd say it also has the strongest defenses. It's the only AF that can work effectively without cap and so can get in close to cruisers and above without fear of being nossed to death. You might say that the Wolf/Jag can work without cap, but neither of those is going to be passive tanking like a hawk. Also, rockets are awesome for taking down drones. I fought this guy yesterday who had a bunch of valk II and warior II and I killed them all before my shield was lower than 70%. Then he MWD away, so I'm thinking of changing the mid slot layout of the above: AB T2 Scambler Web Medium Shield Extender II AND an Anti-EM rig. CP
