Cause one of the main bonuses of the 1400mms is the low cap usage, hence u will be using ur shields alot more. I dont think no1 doubts that 425mms and 1400mms hitting a bare ship wont be that much different, but i may get to boost my shields 6 times before cap worries me, the guy with the 425mms wont have this luxury. In this repect i would have to say 1400mms are the best gun. most deff better for a scorp.

Mhmm problem with these is, you can nearly always make a setup which will beat another. As such, it makes the comparison nearly worthless because each test will tell you different thing and if you don't like the results you can always make different setup to prove your point. Because of this, am trying to check the base performance. Once you know these, you can decide how you can work aroung the guns' limitations and if the disadvantages are worth the better damage and whatnot... that part is mostly individual decision though, imo. Pfft, that's exactly what i was talking about above -- you can setup the ship in many different ways which will cloud the performace of the guns. I prefer blasters over 425's and they use even more cap than 425's. Yet i can fix the shields with xlarge booster about dozen times while all guns are blazing, before i even have to start taking my cap usage into account. Magic? no, just different setup. -.^

He was using 425's and I was using 1400mm's. He ran out of cap and in situations like that... it just seems to be a common unhappy ending for the hybrid user. That seems to be the main issue anyways.... energy. Had that Megathron has a Heavy Cap Booster mounted.... who knows.... he could have won :D ---------------------------------------- "Cry Exploit and let slip the Dogs of War"
