Edited by: Ethaet on 01/06/2007 19:29:14 Edited by: Ethaet on 01/06/2007 19:28:32 These would be t2 destroyers with bonuses to salvage/cargo. CPU/powergrid: enough to fit 8 salvagers/tractorbeams and a few extra modules (ab, etc) 8 high slots for tractor beams and salvagers midslots - 1 or 2? lows - again, probably 1 or 2 turret/launcher points - one? Turret for gallente/amarr/minmatar, launcher for caldari. velocity: a bit more than a destroyer Cargo: more than the t1 version, perhaps 5-10% more? Dronebay: depends on what salvage drones will be like I guess. bonus: bonus to salvager effectiveness per level (5%?), bonus to cargo capacity per salvage ships skill level?
required skills: (whatever race) frig l3 destroyers - level 3? - prereq for salvage ships skill, salvage ships l1 required perhaps also a certain level in salvaging - l3?
comments/suggestions/feedback welcome :)

Edited by: Pierre Dumonte on 01/06/2007 18:49:30 im thinking a cruiser sized ship would be better suited for this role.
I personally use an execuror as a loot and salvage ship when running complexes or belts with corp m8s. with cargo expanders and some repper drones the execuror is probably the best thing going as a salvage ship. other races have equivilent ships too im sure.
though i cant fly it yet the Oneiros (http://www.eve-online.com/itemdatabase/EN/ships/logistics/gallente/11989.asp) may also be good. _-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-

hmm, cruisers already have a support role as logistics, plus there are also HACs, while destroyers only have interdictors for t2, and everyone I know salvages in a destroyer purely because of the highslots, decent cargo and low price.

I would rather see it as a T1 ship, possibly a tier 2 destroyer's secondary bonus, like the Osprey or Scythe get a bonus to mining in addition to their logistics role.
8 high slots, 5 of them weapon hardpoints (mixed based on race). Give it a range bonus to "scanner modules", which would include survey, ship and cargo scanners, as well as salvagers, and a bonus to cargo capacity per level. Have it be destroyer-sized, require Destroyers II to fly, and you're all set.
