Was wondering what the current favorite for rat farming the high end rats is post castor. I can't imagin its still the Apoc with its tachs.
Tempest maybe?

Probably not a lot of ppl doing that yet. Camping those rats is pure danger of loosing your bs (imo anyway)

apoc with tachs stillworks quite nice. still dont need ammo and if you have the right skills use a little more cap than a med sheil booster ( which is 75) so you dont need to save space for ammo or about running out of ammmo. can you say hunt until your hold is full!?

I hunt npc bs in my appoc, the key i think is good cap recharge skills and you must have mwd fitted as they (well the dominix and megathron npcs) mwd indeffinatly with you, 1 dominix chased me 240km away from the spawn till i killed him.
The only problem is you have to outfit your bs to kill npc bs, ie 4 tachs, mwd and large or xlarge sheild booster are musts and loads of cap relays, gotta have cap recharge under 200 really.
Oh, taking a little break from bs npc hunting as i got podded in my npc bs killing appoc by 4 raven bs greifers from corp1, see thats the only problem, you outfit for npc bs and player bs can own your arse :(....( well 4 against 1 anyways)

We have corp m8s doing that solo... in Megathrons and Tempests. Would only do Apocs with Large Projectiles to be honest. I use Typhoon but haven't seen any on my hunts but I am setup for hutning them. Raven can do it but you need a specialized setup.
Don't believe the hype... BS NPCs are only dangerous if in large groups or if their escorts warp on top of you. If your fitted right... it only takes ammo to bring them down.

its stupid to hunt NPC in BS.. u never know when this Marvelous Game will Crash,time u log in u find urself in easter egg  ... do it in Cruiser

hmmmmm.... lets see... 1 insta warp on you and your toast... now why again would i hunt NPC in a cruiser? and we were talking NPC BSs btw. What ammo in the world of eve are you gonna take a NPC bs out in before it pwns you ( and don't say 720mm scout cause its not that good versus NPC BS ).
Get the latest client patch as it fixes 99% of the CTDs concerning NPCs and if you still crash get new sound drivers - not had 1 problem hunting since latest patch.

[HINT]: Almost impossible to buy medium smartbombs off the market, on trade, or escrow, and when you do they are uber expensive.
Regardless of the ship you use, have 2 mounted. I like using an apoc for all the cap relays I can mount and the laser advantages.

Its easy to get Medium Smartbombs from Blood and Sansha cruiser spawns, and people usually just melt these away.
Which is why so few sell them in the market.

I solo 250k bs rats with me megathron and 5 425 rails. Just need to be smart and know your limits.
Warp in...target one bs. Attack from range as long as possible. Then warp out if they get with 40k or so. Heal up fast...warp back in on the other side of the belt which you bm'd with a frig earlier. Rinse and repeat till dead. Key being your speed of return...you dont want to wait too long cause there shields will start to regen.
My very first try I took 2 250K bs rats solo. Granted, wasnt fast or efficient but I can do it if I get antsy. :)

I am satisfied with Apoc. Only 750k and higher is unsoloable for me cause their nonstop mwding.

And btw, the multispecs might work on one BS, but there's usually more ships around.
