Originally by: Ramjam Giles I think they mean they are stating their intention to become targets for NOS.
Good luck NOS. Not that you will need it.
From what I've seen of both of them, my money is on FANG.
Like their modular namesake, NOS do indeed suck.
Without having seen Fang fight I have to agree with Butter Dog. NOS can hardly fight themselves out of a paper bag and in a straight up fight NOS vs Fang I'd put my money on Fang. I expect CVA to bail them out though and that's a different story.
Since you'll do whatever you do no matter what is said...
Check your own backyard before you come to ours and attack miners and then log when we trap you in the QBL. My last tour through U'K space was like a ghost town... with CVA living in it. It's also funny how you log in and sweep around on our off hours consistently...
Yes, your harrassment is annoying at best, but that's about it.
BTW FANG has retracted it's Um.. "Intentions" because it was to disruptive to the entire Providence region and they said they actually want to play nice nice with everyone there.
They are currently at Neutral with NOS
Diplomacy is PvP
Bitter, much?
Fact is, your only reaction to a single roaming PvPer is UBERBLOB. You have to rope in your entire alliance to defend yourselves against one person. Then you smack because that one person won't engage you 20 to 1.
Your alliance is just about the worst at PvP I've ever seen - and I was in ISS.

It was decided following diplomatic talks between Fang and NOS/CVA that it was in the best intentions of everyone if FANG were permitted to keep the system they had already taken sovereignty of. For this reason the intention of war was withdrawn as the goal of said war had been achieved through diplomacy.
Congratulations btw to diplomats from all involved alliances.

Having been a part of a few "uberblobs" in response to a single player or small group sighting near the stations, I'll defend it by saying that those of us who x up for a gang aren't looking for a fair fight, or even a tough fight. We're just looking to go on about our business after the roamer is driven off.
Besides, based on what I've seen of most small group gangs and solo roaming PvPers in Providence, most are in interceptors or Vagabonds that spend the vast majority of their time running unless they find a solo ratter to gank.
One of my running jokes in the intel channels is that Providence has more Vag than Hustler.

This man speaks the truth.
Vaga's aren't easy ships to nail down, even with the right tools. They usually aren't there's "fight" but to gank (I'm not talking smack on that point) and disrupt Alliance operations/logistics. Fast, hit and run, I have no problem with that.
But are we supposed to say.. "Nah, we've got a few people in the gang and we don't want to be accused by people of uberblobbing, so don't X up..."
No, we take anyone who wants to come.. Sue Us. Also, what if that Vaga/Inty is a scout for a larger force and we didn't bring every with us and we ran right into it?
So no, not bitter, but don't like be accused of blobbing when alls we're doing is bringing everyone who wants to come to nail down a very fast ship with a skilled pilot like Mangold or Calyspo's Wrath.
Also, as of last night it was agreed that FANG keep those systems as part of an earlier agreement made with NOS. At the time of reporting my earlier report was accurate, but this is new info. I'm glad things are worked out peaceably as more unrest in the region would be detrimental.
