Sometimes a GM helps me leaving stuck via a petition. Sometimes a send a Thx back and some times not. Send a Thx is nice. On the other hand I think GMs receiving many many mails, so a Thx may hurt. What are GMs thinking about.
Many many (not send) Thx to the GMs Vaia

Taking the time to actually type thanks is also nice...

Edited by: Bora Horza on 11/01/2004 17:56:12 You send a reply to a petition just to say thank you?
Next you'll be wondering why it takes so long to get a reply from genuine petitions, perhaps it's because everybody is saying thank you and doubling the size of the que... Jeez are you stupid? .

Edited by: Danton Marcellus on 11/01/2004 17:59:51 I seriously doubt taking a second to glance over a thank you note is the thing that makes the que long.
Solving people problems would be my guess for timeconsuming activity but then again I could be wrong, imagine that, the GMs sitting there with their dictionarys looking up 'thx', it's not a word, how can we go on?
Take a deep breath and calm down.

I think many people don't thank at all so I would be surprised the size is doubled. But I'll stick to TIA (Thanks in advance) in the future.

When you reply saying thanks, you are not opening a new petition. You are actually closing it if you check the option that you don't need an answer anymore. _______________________________________________

Don't be stupid!
If you reply somebody has to read it, even if you are saying thank you. If you don't then it closes.
If everybody who sent a petition replied again with 'thank you' i'm sure you'd see the time taken for a reply on a genuine petition lengthen.
I'm sure the GM's don't want people to waste their time!

You make a valid point, but whenever I have replied thanking the GMs they've always been very appreciative of it; and putting them in a good mood probably makes them work faster.

I always say thank you, with a note to close the petition out, if it's been resolved. It's the polite thing to do.

( A thanks is alas a rare and precious thing in most customer services, especially those on internet where you do not have real human contact.
Too many people think the service they got they deserve it because they pay for it. That's not the good way to look at it : the people maintening the service deserve your respect for the few they ask you to pay in exchange.
The online game business is not one that makes a man rich, alas not those really working on it. Theses people often endure long hour of work for less than average pay, and most of theses games are still online since the people working on it does it also because they like the job they do, and believe in it.
It is not because is it a game they are running that it is always fun from their side, and at least for that they deserve us to spend some time for an extra thanks. )
