Last night, EVE ranked number one among all the other mmorpgs out there as seen on www.mmorpg.com. This is considered a big deal since the website has well over 450,000 subscribers.
However, I had gotten wind that a bunch of Ultima online and Dark Age of Camelot players logged on last night and gave EVE straight one's across the board.
Now, Im totally fine with player reviews, but i find it a little silly for these two mmorpg players to give EVE a one rating simply because they wanted there UO and DoaC back on top and not even played EVE.
We need you to rank EVE, good or bad! Dont let DaoC and UO players dictate whats number one!

P.S. DaoC could not get their game to the number 2 rank. We currently dominate that.

I wonder how many EVE addicts will take the time to head over and reg/vote? ( takes 2 secs ) 
[It's all fun and games until someone puts an eye out. And then it's fun and games without depth perception.]

i did as well...only took like 2 minutes to register and 30 seconds to rate it.
Many Mmorpgs see this site as an important asset to mmorpgs. Even EVE has given some free games out during contests.
So, Im thinking, if we can keep it in the top 5, we'll get more players.
On a side note, before the Castor patch, EVE wasn't even top 10. Now its hovering between rank 1 and 2

I think it's sweet that we beat FFXI (that game is getting the lime light right now with many popular magazines and websites). I played FFXI....good game, but not that good enough to keep me :)

Or maybe they were so ****ed of that the Eve Devs had to bring their own players' attention to the site through use of the internal Dev blog that they decided to do soemthing about it?

I dont know how this game can be ranked at all on a mmoRPgs site. This game have next to nothing RP wich many of us are really sorry for. I would not give this game one point for its RP qualitys.

Its on a mmoRPG site, however the site states they provide ratings and information on all MMOGs; Roleplay or not

Just out of interest, and not intending to flame . . .
Why can't EVE be considered a Role Playing Game
It would seem to have all the elements of them, identification of a character, advancement of said character, consisent supporting world environment, interaction with NPC's in character, choice to interact with PC's in character.
OK so it doesn't feature Elves and Dwarves, but since when did that mean it is not an RPG?
I see about as much Roleplaying in EVE as I do in EverQuest or DAOC, and the underlying server architecture supports this to no lesser extent than those games.

True, roleplay is extremely rare in any mmorpg today. Its a rare thing to see.
One day I was roleplaying a storm trooper on Star Wars Galaxies, asking where Luke Skywalker was as he was needed for some questioning (I was in my stormtrooper gear and everything). Suddenly, my roleplaying fantasies got dashed ot the ground when 90% of everyone in the Cantina called me a noob cause I wouldn't go to the forums to find out Luke was in a hidden base on a certain planet.
LOL, they failed to realized I was roleplaying. Same thing went for FFXI....so I pretty much dont roleplay here unless Im talking smack to some pirates

Kindly inform me where I can register my vote for a representative willing to push for war against the Amarr Empire so I can seek retribution for the slavery they inflicted on Minmatar without having CONCORD and sentry guns beat the crap out of me.
