how do i fit it? what ever i do i run out of cap if i start shooting while i got the MWD and 20k scram on. i even got 4 CPRs in low. is there some skills i'm missing or some implants or what? not to mention its hard as hell to fit without AWU(working on WU V right now) Playing minmatar is "like going down a flight of stairs in a office chair firing an Uzi". |

Use Projectile weapons insted. Sad but true. Beams are just no good on intercaptors.

Skills you need at at least 4/5
Energy Managment Energy system operations High Speed Manouvering (the one that reduces mwd cap useage) Propulsion jamming Controled bursts
With those you should be fine, also you will need advanced weapon upgrades at at least 4 to use any beam sader setups (also most use duel light beams as med beams are impossible to fit.

Ill gladly take on your projective sader im my duel light beam sader......
Pew pew pew
Beam saders are very good, but very skill intensive, remember you survive with speed anlone, if you got a great MWD + good rigs faction implants you can speed tank light missiles and toast any crows, tho at those speeds its very hard to hit em, better to just approach as your speed with be fast enuff to not take damamge but low trasversal to hit for your guns

I'm curious : what advantage would a beamsader have over a normal projectile one?

Just to ignore the better damamge you also gain superior tracking no ammo usage and ability to fight in optimal instead of falloff therefor hit more at super high speeds.
I dont have accress at work to check but i belive duel light beams are easier to fit than the better tier projectiles
Besides t2 long range beam ammo rules :)

Crusader: Amarr Frigate Skill Bonus: 10% reduction in Small Energy Turret capacitor use and 5% bonus to Small Energy Turret damage per level Interceptors Skill Bonus: 5% reduction in Signature Radius and 7.5% bonus to Small Energy Turret Tracking Speed per level
That's what advantages it has. ----------------------------------------------

Please what is a "normal" projectile one? If you think you can't use it with lasers youre wrong. It gets nice damage bonus ans has enough powergrid for pulses and beams. No problem here at all and i have personally never heard about this "projectile" sader. I mean its common to see projectiles on amarr but normally not on those with a damage bonus.
Also the main bonus is then that you could tank better which isnt all so great in a ceptor imo.

thanks for your advice. i guess i just have to bite the bullet and train WU to V. besides...it would take me more time to get the skills to use a crow than to learn to fit the crusader Playing minmatar is "like going down a flight of stairs in a office chair firing an Uzi". |

Autocannon Crusader > Pulse Crusader. BUT Beam Crusader > Artillery Crusader.
Although why anyone would use a longrange-fitted Interceptor atall is beyond me.

Because web = death?
Diablo 2 is five years old, and apparently that makes it more mature than the people who play it. |

Look... a gistii crow... bloodclaw light missile hits you for 0.0 dmg. Then suddenly you realize you are faster than he is and you pwn it :D -------- I tanked D2 capital fleet and all I got was truncated Erebus mail.

needs moar pimping add poly rigs and gistii mwd and longer-range warp disruptor (preferably faction, i think they have better cap use than t2 and can be up to 30km range) __________________________________

uuhm... look at the ship setup index. bunch of threads that are quite old and make it back to the top from time to time. and imo its better to use 1 thread. after all its not a topic thats out of date.
at least better than opening the 1000000000000000000. thread about the drake.
and if someone gives a useful answer the thread can disappear in the depths of the forums again, but until then i ll keep bumping it.
