Dalanoria	Posted - 2007.06.05 20:16:00 - [1] Im sure they have been playing the trailer for awhile, but i realy dont watch alot of TV. Just noticed this was coming out on the 4th of July. Is this movie for the 30 somethings or what ? Do kids even know about transformers, lol? Transformers along with GI Joe were my favorite saturday morning toons when i was like 10.... BTW you know your getting old when you can say you watched "Back to the future" in the theater

There's a lot of WTF about it (Bumblebee's no longer a VW Beetle and Optimus and Megatron are supposed to be brothers) and this film's supposed to focus more on the human race's side of the story (the story being the scrap between Autobots and Decepticons, cf course) Oh, and the brats know of Transformers. There are some recent cartoons (One that Jetix in the UK referred to as Transformers Take Two and a separate trilogy of series on which the classic PS2 game was based on. The original animated movie has been available on DVD for abotu 3-4 years now with a remastered version release last year with all the fuss about the live action, its also just been repackaged again due to the very near release date of said live action movie. You can also buy series 1-4 of the original series' and a few of the further headmasters/takara that didnt move over from japan as successfully. Most the nippers will probs have sum idea as there have been loads of Jap-U.S cartoon series spinoff, beast wars and the new ones on jetix. a few of the designs have changed mainly to keep upto date with the times and that a 50' robot cant turn into an MP3 player (Soundwave) a think Bumblebee was changed due to sum licensing with VW but if am honest they would been crazy not to let the new beetle design be used. maybe it was down to having a believeable robot from the beetle shape. No-one seems to have much of an idea of what megatron turns into but is mainly rumoured to be sum kind of tank/cannon like Galvatron or the newer Megatron's in the recent cartoons. it looks impressive and i'll be going to see it, when the trailer played and the Retro "transforming" sound was played when prime transformed, everyone let out a lil "Yaaayy" which was highly amusing lol

Also i don't know why people care that he isn't a beetle, the beetle SUCKS.. honestly people don't you have a sense of cool?! As for people complaining that they dont turn into things like guns... i mean.. what?! WHY?! thats a TERRIBLE transformation... bah! you people.. your the sort of person who complains about the remastered star wars films, "OH NO!! i cant see through the*****pit anymore!! Any DVD shop or online store. Depending on where you are, you could also get hold of the Reconstructed edition (remastered from the original negative and a special treat for UK peeps - Spike fires off the S word as in the US release) Also, LordChaos is right. Megatron becomes Galvatron and spanks Starscream - he is still under Unicron's control though - and Rodimus takes the Autobot throne. ----------------------------------------------- "Breaking News! I cant say as I've seen any of the import films etc,so what I remember might not be correct,but: Optimus Prime - Big truck/trailer thing Megatron - Gun/Pistol Starscream - fighter plane Soundwave - tape player/radio Ravage - was a Dog that transformed into a cassette tape ?? (in tandem with soundwave) Jazz - Porch ? Its been hinted at time and again considering how old the series is. There are multiple animated series not just the original. Based on previous cartoon series lore the same source made both races. That would make them all related. shrug

The Quintessons were created by Unicron and used to rule a vast empire, the decepticons and autobots were created by Alpha Sigmus who lives at the core of Cybertron and is the guardian of the sleeping Primus. Primus and Unicron were both gods but Primus tricked Unicron and sacrificed himself by trapping both of them in asteroids in this universe but they found they could manipulate their prisons and so Alpha sigmus created Cybertron and Unicron became a giant planet eating monster, Primus is the lord of Order and Unicron is the God of chaos. Uncirons form was destroyed by the Matrix but his spirit endured within his severed head (now in orbit of cybertron). There was a second Golden Age of Cybertron at the end of the second transfomers film (Headmasters) after the battle between Scorpinok and Fortress Maximus. I can't remember if this was after the return of Optimus Prime or during the reign of Rodimus Prime though.
