At what point to crystals blow up? How come the 'damage' attribute isnt visible after you remove a crystal?

yeah i noticed the "damage" number in the tooltip, but i don't see it anywhere else. they currently say like 0.85 or 0.30. so does it expire when it reaches 1.0?
and is it possible to repair them and repackage them? or is this "damage" special, preventing them from being repackaged like with BPO's?
~~~~ ~~~~ ~~~~ Take away the risk and it would make flying around in space utterly pointless.
Take away the flying around part and you make EVE into a space themed spreadsheet application. |
It's probably a not fully implemented aspect of the heat feature they're introducing.
Unless you're talking about t2 crystals, which I dunno cause I prefer to spam missiles.
1.0 = full 0.0 = dead, gone
Can't be repaired.
I'm sure it's the opposite to what DS is saying, when i get crystals they always start at 0.0.
ummm i am pretty sure my brand new mining crystals start with 0.00 damage and count up from there.
but yeah, i figured it's something like that. would be easier to undertand if it says 40% instead of 0.40... also it needs to show up someplace else besides when fitted on my strip miner.
AFAIK the damage amount is only visible in the tooltip of the mining laser when the crystal is fitted. if you load up a different crystal, it will show the damage amount for that one instead.
Oops, you're right. I don't use lasers, so don't blame me
volatility = the likelihood per shot of the crystal taking 0.01 points of damage
when the crystal takes 1 point of damage, it is destroyed. crystals can only be stacked with each other if they are undamaged (i,e: on 0.0 damage) ***
If u fit crystals and then u take them away from strips they dont stack anymore. Also if u have them loaded u can see the dam by hovering ur mouse over stripminer icon.
