Lets assume I'm out in space in my frigate killing all the NPC that I meet and then I come up against one I can't handle and get blown up.
1 ) I fly back to the nearest station in my pod yeah ? When I dock I will have all my money/ships available and may even claim on my insurace - am I correct so far ???
2 ) If I get podded by a PC pirate do I loose my money, resources or are these still around for me (held by my shiney new clone) ??
Just wondering how much of a nightmare being podded is ?

1) yes, except the ship that was killed by the npc rats..
2) your ship goes, your insurance is paid(now uninsured), any implants you had are gone, and your clone is now basic.
Everything else you keep, everytime.

U dont loose your money or other ships if you get podded - what can happen if u dont have an up-to-date clone is loose skillpoint. Always make sure your clone is up-to-date.
However if you have implants and u get podded then u loose them - which is a real bugger!

I've only got 100K skill points but I decided to get a Grade A clone .... now to find some nasty pirates ...

It's best not to go too far upgrading your clone, only go as far as you need. If you get podded with a grade A clone when you only need grade D, both do the same job but you've spent isk u didn't need to.

hmm - I didn't think about that. I found that I had to upgrade my clone every few days and thought one big upgrade would be better. I forgot that the clone is only good for one use ...
.... hmmmmmm .... time to rethink strategy ...
