Looks good, but the real question is whether it supports all the graphics acceleration features that DirectX9 needs.

So doesn't look like if initially, but its a nice step towards it. Perhaps it will feature it in later patches or releases.

Directx has not previously been successful on the VMware platform - or gaming in general. Not sure about the Fusion variant tough.

Doubtful. DX8, sure. Most emu software balks at doing DX9, and DX10? lol

I'm planning on moving to Linux and I'd looove for somebody to program something that'll let me use ambulation

I have tried running eve in it and it just pops up with a white screen and dies a horrible blue death.

On Linux you're looking for WINE, which already supports EVE.

Which is why im interested in either Fusion having 3d, or Parallels, which just got it ;) Hopefully no more dual booting. -- Svengali |

According to the vmware beta release notes, its supports directx 8.1 on a "select" number of games.

I can't imagine the memory usage of running Mac OSX, and then Vista on top of that.

Mac's crash? More importantly, a program causes the operating system to crash? What about all those Mac commercials that say Macs Never crash?
