.... For "Medical Reasons." She'll spend 40 days in her own home (a mansion) on house arrest.
Yeah right. If I could get out of work because I didn't like being at work, that'd be ****ing fantastic, but you know what? I have to be there, so she should still be in jail where she belongs.
If Paris doesn't like being in jail, maybe she shouldn't have violated the law by driving with a suspended license for drunk driving. It just goes to show that if you have money, you get preferential treatment. That's disgusting. Any normal person would have spent the full sentence in jail, and the rich and famous should receive the same treatment as any other person. They're no more important than anyone else.
This government is so crooked. I wonder how much payment the judge took to do this.

If you had tens of millions of dollars and a high priced legal team, you would do the exact same thing.

not magic, the more money, the better the lawyers. it's just sad the money doesn't benefit ppl who would need it. i mean, she was just driving a car, not that big a deal. personally, i find medical reasons a strange excuse for smaler punishments, i mean nobody in their right mind would kill other ppl, so there is the 'excuse' for one of the gratest crimes. it's disgusting. -- Tempus fugit -- |

You don't get it. The "medical reasons" for her getting out of jail was because she was crying in her cell, refused to eat, refused to sleep, and got exhausted from freaking out that she actually had to commit to her punishment by spending 40 days in jail.
What kind of punishment is spending 40 days in a ****ing mansion?!? Basically, she put on some tears, whined, and put out to get out. _______________________________________________

This ****es me off greatly. She should have been thrown in with the regular inmates, and they should have forcefed her. 'House arrest' pff, I'm sure she will learn her lesson...
I honestly wouldn't shed a tear if some vigilante assassinated her to teach the state a lesson.

And we should be able to watch as she gets viciously and savagely beaten and raped.

This isnt so bad.
You know she's going to violate her house arrest, which will probably land her a longer sentance.
And thats a good thing.

God-*******-dammit. I thought when she went to the pokey, just this once some rich ******* was gonna get what was coming, an honest to God sentence in an honest to God jail. But NO, little miss huffnpuff gets a rash, or whines like a ***** about eating a hot dog, and back to the mansion she goes. They should have put her ass in general ******* population, then she'd have cried.

She's got to reappear in court though cause the Judge who sentenced her has gone mad about her being released on house arrest.

Boo hoo.
The average time served for ALL convictions of non-violent offenders in Los Angeles County is 10% of their imposed jail time. Paris was given 45 days in jail, and she served 5 days. This is because of overcrowding, it's that way in most of California (I live there). Making her serve the whole sentence would amount to singling her out only because she is famous, and that would be wrong.

If it had not been Paris Hilton, she would have been released in three days and nothing said because of severe overcrowding in California prisons.

So some people get sent up for life due to 3 law violations and some barely set foot in jail for theirs?

If you are refering to the "three strikes law", this does not apply to her case. All her charges constitute one act, more or less. You missed the point of our arguements. She has not been treated differently. Everyone else in the same situation would have been let out after 5 days. See my above post.
